- the engine noise that you have mentioned earlier is the characteristic of this VQ engine, but indeed it was far noisier than previous cefiro VQ, i have no idea why as i owned a cefiro 10 years back, it was just as quiet as unnoticeable. at 30 - 50 kmh you will probably hear the rough revving sounds. anyway, you can try to use petronas RON 95 and it does reduce the vibration on engine.
when you are cruising at more than 110kmh, you will notice some wind noise from right air-cond vent and both driver and front passenger windows. i have logged a complaint to nissan SC but they can't help much to sort it out after few attempts. so i just don't bother about it.
cabin rattling sounds especially dash board and the wooden trim are very annoying and it is likely to be normal on teana. do complain kawlat kawlat to them and tell them you are not happy with that.
i'm strongly recommend you to go to segambut SC as i heard that this is the best SC around KL area. If they can't solve all this issue, i can help you to whack them coz i'm still keep in touch with their General Manager (service operation, mr Leong). FYI, Mr Leong is person incharge for all SC from part of selangor down to johor bahru.
btw, there is another similar case like mine complaining that the car is wandering and floaty as told by Mr leong about 2 months ago. i didn't get a chance to ask for the outcome after my last meetup with him 2 months ago.
to preserve your leather seat, you may use those cleaning solution (chemical type) that you can buy off the shelf from hypermart. remember to apply a layer of leather lotion / conditioner after the cleaning. mine has shown some skin peel off on steering wheel after a year of ownership.
front absorber will have knocking sounds tik dok when drive over a road hump. my teana have this issue since new car and eventually they have ordered a pair of new shock from japan and fixed the issue, just few weeks before i sold it off.
don't too trust nissan GPS navi coz it bring me to Holland few times.
CVT box are quite strong as i have whack it for more than 6 months and no sign of failure or wear & tear. But i have encounter some issue when after you apply a hard braking (emergency brake to standstill), when you press the accelerator immediate after the braking, you will feel that the torque convertor is not locking up and car cannot move too. as explanation from nissan about this issue, they said this is safety feature as the car ECU will disengaged torque convertor to allowed full braking to stop the car.
FYI, i have logged a complain to NCCC (national consumer complaints centre) and email directly to nissan boss Dato Ang. The problem occur & parts that they have replaced over a year are as below:
1. CVT cooler leaking on 2nd days of new car delivery - replace oil cooler
2. gear box have some sign of oil leakage
3. car wandering / floaty - 4 new tires (michellin) changed & they have swap entire undercarriage (everything under front bonnet, except engine & gearbox)
4. engine rough - they can't do anythings about this.
5. air leaking / wind noise on aircond vent and front both windows
6. car door dented during new car delivery
7. additional 1 year extended warranty was given by nissan
8. front absorber knocking noice - absorber has replaced 3 times

the story about my teana is true, and i have just sold it last month, after many attempt to repair and troubleshooting. my mileage clocked 40,000km for a year.
please bear in mind that if yours are 2.5 V6, you have to make sure that SC have to reset your steering sensors after wheel alignment. this is due to 2.5 model are equipped with "vehicle stability control", thus steering turning position will be read to counter-react upon any possibility of traction lost. My case was that SC dun even know about steering sensor reset thingy.
