传统上，

concrete = (cement + water) + (sand  + gravel) = (cement paste) + aggregate

the term aggregate refers to the combination of sand(fine aggregate) and gravel or stone(coarse aggregate)


cement的种类根据AS 3972 - the standard for portland and blended cements
有两种普通用途的cements，那就是types GP 和 GB。
另外还有两种特别用途的cements，那就是types LH 和 HE。

GP = portland cement
GB = a blend of cement with slag or fly ash
LH = low-heat cement
HE = high early strength cement

portland cement有五种：

I   : all purpose cement
II  : comparatively low heat liberation;used in large structures
III : high strength in 3 days
IV  : Used in mass concrete dams
V   : Used in sewers and structure exposed to sulfates
