Profit Before Tax
BStarbucks recorded a higher profit before tax of RM58.7
million as compared to RM53.3 million in the previous financial
year, mainly attributed to additional revenue generated from
stores opened during the financial year, coupled with effective
cost management strategies.

Loss Before Tax
For the financial year ended 30 April 2018, BRoasters recorded
a higher loss before tax of RM6.7 million compared to the loss
before tax of RM4.2 million in the previous financial year, mainly
due to an increase in operating expenses and depreciation, as
well as a reduction in interest income.
For the Third Quarter Ended 31 January 2019Berjaya Food Berhad (“BFood”) registered an increase of about 10% in revenue to RM180.54 millionfrom RM164.44 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter mainly due to the same-store-salesgrowth recorded by Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd (“BStarbucks”) as well as additionalStarbucks cafes operating in Malaysia in the current quarter under review.The Group registered an increase in pre-tax profit to RM14.68 million as compared to the pre-tax loss ofRM4.84 million reported in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. The Group’s pre-tax profitimproved significantly mainly due to higher profit contributions from its Starbucks operations in tandemwith the higher revenue achieved as well as improved performance from the Kenny Rogers Roasters(“KRR”) Malaysia's operations in the current quarter, whereas in the previous year corresponding quarter,the Group incurred a pre-tax loss arising from the disposal of the Group's KRR operations in Indonesia.
The Group registered a pre-tax loss of RM4.84 million in the current quarter under review in comparison with a pre-tax profit of RM8.62 million reported in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. The pre-tax loss incurred in the current quarter under review was mainly due to the one-off loss arising from the disposal of the Group's KRR operations in Indonesia. Excluding the exceptional investment related expenses, the Group’s pre-tax profit would have been RM10.55 million.
主要亏损是因为卖掉亏钱的印尼公司，如果没有该止亏的动作，Q3 2017 年是赚一千万。
原来印尼市场问题，也是马来西亚经济的问题
