A couple of weeks back, I was having a conversation with my sister about our children's education. She said that her daughter may go to USA for her tertiary education (my sis and brother-in-law both graduated from prestigious Universities in USA). So we were talking about when to sit for TOEFL and SAT papers (entrance exam papers to USA Universities). I was telling my sister that my eldest daughter had no problems sitting for SAT papers before her SPM exams. And she only bought the freaking thick SAT Chemistry revision book a week before she sat for it!
Then it hit me - the reason why my children are doing very well in their overseas education is all thanks to the wise TDM who changed the system whereby Maths and Science subjects were taught in English! My children were really lucky, when my eldest son and older daughter started Form One, they were taught Math and Science in English! And I guess that explains why both of my older children had no problems sitting for their SAT papers where my eldest son even scored full marks for his SAT II Math paper. And both of them did not even take a day of tuition or studied much for the SAT papers. And with their SAT scores, they were both accepted to Top Ranked Universities in the USA even before their SPM results were even out! My son was accepted into a Top 10 USA Engineering Uni at the age of 16 and my daughter at the age of 17 into a TOP 10 USA Pharmacy Uni 6 years Pharm.D professional program. My son eventually obtained a Masters Degree in Engineering from an Ivy League University and my daughter instead went to Melbourne for the Pharmacy Degree.
My two youngest children on the other hand both entered Standard One and were also taught Math and Science in English; and thus, they had no problems when I sent them for their high school in Melbourne.
Yes, we need the visionary TDM back as Prime Minister for the sake of our children's education. Only the wise TDM has the vision, courage and will to make our children's future brighter.
You GenYs (regardless of which type of school you attended in Primary or Secondary), think about it, why is your command of the English language so good today? GenYs in Malaysia today can easily absorb information (good and bad) in English from the English Text books used in their tertiary education and the millions of websites on the internet. And because many of the Malaysia's GenYs are able to comprehend English and communicate in English, they are easily employed by multinational companies here in Malaysia and many overseas; thus, earning the big bucks. We have to admit that it is all thanks to the wise TDM.
Yes, the group of parents who support the teaching of Maths and Science in English are fighting for our nation's best interest so that all Malaysians can compete and be of the same standing to those in the developed world.
Nowadays, there are so many International Schools and some are really affordable, especially when both parents are working. However, I have pointed out many times that there is a setback when you send your child to an International School. You see, in order to be registered with most of the Professional Boards in Malaysia, one needs SPM BM. So, if you sent your child overseas to obtain a degree, when he/she comes back, he/she might just find himself/herself in the predicament of not being able to register with a relevant professional board because he/she lacks SPM BM! Take note.

4. 搞个talent/gifted program，给大马top优秀生发展空间，然后adopt这些优秀生来发展国家，imagine好像李光耀这样的优秀生来管理国家，大马还不成为亚洲第一？
