can help me...i wan do frequency distribution table..
smallest value is 8.5 and largest value is 41..

Here largest item is 41.0 and the smallest item is 8.5 and number of item are 30.
As Sturge’s Rule :

i. Number of classes, c  = 1 + 3.3 log n
                                       = 1 + 3.3 log 30
                                       = 1 + 3.3 (1.48)
                                       = 1 + 4.88
                                       = 5.88 = 6 classes

ii. Class width, i = Largest value – Smallest value
                                       Number of classes
                           = 41.0 – 8.5 / 6
                           = 5.41 = 6
Therefore the size class interval would be 6.

then...要怎样分出classes

8.5 - 14
14 - 19.5
19.5 - 25
25 - 30.5
30.5 - 36
36 - 41.5

like this...correct or not please help...tq very muchh

从8开始不是很好吗？
08～14
14～20
20～26
26～32
32～48
48～44

不过这样分还要考虑边界点怎样划分，
比方说14是属于第一组还是第二组。
这个可以直接定义

我看过的做法是多加一位小数，
例如30.23之类的两位小数数据
边界点就设成30.005，40.005，50.005之类

只要你包含了所有的数据，有谁在乎你是8还是8.5开始呢？

重点还是要在有限的范围内含括所有的数据
因为之后就着重于统计意义了
