(12 May 2020)Mlabs Systems Berhad through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mlabs Research Sdn Bhd, its principal activities include research and development in multimedia video conferencing system, assembling and trading of multimedia video conferencing equipment and the provision of mobile application solutions, has signed with Cisco International Limited , a subsidiary of Cisco System Inc, a public listed company on NASDAQ stock exchange with market capitalisation of USD 176 billion, is the world's leading supplier of computer networking products, systems and services. Cisco was founded in December 1984 and incorporated in California. Cisco develops, manufactures and sells networking hardware, software, telecommunications equipment and other high-technology services and products. Through its numerous acquired subsidiaries, such as OpenDNS, Webex, Jabber and Jasper, Cisco specialized in specific tech market, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), domain security and energy management. Furthermore, th e product line including but not limited to routers, switches, remote access devices, protocol translators and Internet services devices, all of which link together geographically dispersed local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet itself.
The leverages on the strengths of both parties. As an established video conferencing solution provider with strong local and regional distribution and networking channels, the partnership with Cisco allows the Company as an authorized partner in Malaysia to distribute Cisco Webex Meeting and Webex Team solutions.
Steve Tan, the Executive Director of Mlabs Group said, “Our Company has been working on pricing strategy to enhance consumer satisfaction; therefore, users have a wide range of choices to choose from Standard, High and Customised solutions to suit their budget and requirements for video conferencing technology. ”The Company is intended to enhance users' experience by offering Webex Enterprise Trials for those SME companies and small-large organizations established in Malaysia. This trial offered up to 1,000 concurrent users without time limitation and allow users to connect with third -party end-points. In the event of low internet connection, dial-in with local land line function is offered to users from time to time. The Company believes that this offer would help the SME companies and small-large organizations to save costs , effort and time in relation to the business continuity. In addition, the trial is providing the standard level of security assurance to prevent information leakages.
In the meantime, the Company is also leveraging technology to offer a new service, Virtual Annual General Meeting, for all public listed companies in Malaysia to conduct annual general meeting. Under the current challenging milieu, the AGM becomes an excellent opportunity for the board and management team to meet its shareholders and communicate effectively on its way forward.
