Shatavari is also known as ‘Asparagus Racemosus’ in Latin. In Ayurveda 'Shatavari' is nown to be the 'Queen of herbs' which is the most common herb recommended for female health. This medicinal herb is found throughout India and is known to be the best female tonic.

Shatavari from Himalaya – A female tonic, promotes reproductive health, maintains hormonal balance also promotes lactation

The roots of Shatavari or Asparagus Racemosus have galactagogue, antispasmodic, appetizer, cooling, tonic and aphrodisiac properties. Shatavari is a female tonic that regulates hormonal secretion. It acts as a galactagogue and is useful in lactation failure i.e. it promotes lactation.

Shatavari is considered to be the most helpful herb for women as it helps in balancing the female hormonal system. Shatavari nourishes and cleanses the blood and takes care of female reproductive organs thereby supporting the body's natural fertility. It nourishes the womb and ovum and supports the female organs for pregnancy. It also promotes body's natural lactation. Shatavari contains phyto-estrogens, the precursors of estrogen and is very useful for women who suffer from low natural estrogen levels as a result of menopause, hysterectomies or oophorectomies.

Dosage:

X心： 之前宝宝还要亲喂时，每次亲喂后都会再挤奶。但是效果不明显，因为宝宝不爱吸了。后来什么加奶的东西都吃，都不放过，例如燕麦奶，黑芝麻，榴莲，brewer yeast, lecithin, 豆浆，domperidone, shatavari, 黑豆浆等等。现在全挤三至四小时一次，每次40分钟，每次奶阵来了挤完了就停两分钟按摩，然后再来挤。幸运的话会有4-5次的奶阵。因为我的身体体质反应比较慢，从来不会说吃什么马上涨奶，所以我很kiasu的全部加奶食物都吃。还有心情很重要，越逼彻就越少。
晚上挤奶也很重要，因为晚上的奶量比较多。我觉得himalaya的shatavari对我有效，效果好像比domperidone还好。现在吃着第二瓶了。
