Michael Jackson who set records this year with a hit documentary andcompanion album, as well as selling millions of his albums, has beenawared for the documentary focused on the final days of his life, ThisIs It. The African-American Film Critics Association awarded MichaelJackson a special achievement award.
According to the LA Times, This Is It, was also among the association's top 10 films of 2009. "Besides “Precious,”the organization’s list of top 10 films are “The Princess and theFrog,” “Up in the Air,” “The Hurt Locker,” “This Is It,” “AmericanViolet,” “Goodbye Solo,” “Medicine for Melancholy,” “Good Hair” and“Up.”
Congratulations to MJ and all those involved in bringing This Is It tolife. MJ will be missed, but his legacy will live forever.
In other MJ news, the King of Pop will be awarded a LifetimeAchievement Award at the 2010 Grammy Awards. It will be MJ's 14thGrammy, and according to reports, This Is It will be eligible fornomination in 2011.
This Is It will be released in January, and is available for pre-order!
