Hey, so far so good, just finished my maths paper, having 2 weeks holiday ahead. You know, we must pass the B2 delf exam to get my cert...... kinda torturing......
Staying in Paris is kinda lonely haha, furthermore, I am living in suburb, I can only go out to paris once in a while, tout seul comme un con qui se promène dans n'importe qu'elle direction en regardant des couples qui s'embrassent....... I am the only m'sian in my school, and it's rather hard to really make frens with french, so it turns out that i only have brasilian, chinese and vietnamese frens . At first i thought that it's mayb due to the language barrier, but later i find out that even the chinese speaking the best chinese is having the same situation, so I guess it's really not my problem, as we said, one hand doesn't clap. Of course you can work with them, and having activities together, but mentally we are still disconnected, kind weird. Sometimes when you find your opinions being treated like rubbish, even I can be very energetic but in the end i prefer to shut up to safe my breath.
But french is a nice language, I enjoy having french class, watching the movie selected by our skul to get us adapted to the familiar french used in daily conversation among french. In fact, its totally different from the formal french we learn. All we learn in m'sia, sg or etc is considered formal french, yes we can use them and the french can understand us, but among french themselves, they have their own familiar substitutes for some words.....that's why most of us, first time in france, fail to understand a conversation going on between two young teenagers.....
But it's cool to have m'sians like you that enjoy learning french so much, it's a nice language, really nice, sometimes when you listen to their 70's music, its fantastic, the language is poetic on its own.......
Hope that you can fulfil your dream soon, and dun ever give up learning it. Let's improve together haha. Bon courage, à bientôt. |
