Houston 98, Utah 90 HOUSTON, April 23 (AP) -- Each of the Houston Rockets have to make 10 consecutive free throws before they are allowed to leave the practice floor every day. The often frustrating drill paid off Monday night, as the Rockets used an exceptional game from the line to offset Carlos Boozer's 41 points and beat the Utah Jazz 98-90 to go up 2-0 in the first-round playoff series. Tracy McGrady scored 31 points for the Rockets, who hit 34 of 38 free throws to win for the 10th time in 14 games. Boozer matched a career-high point total, tossing in jumpers from all angles over 7-foot-6 Yao Ming. He finished 17-of-30 from the field and had 12 rebounds and six assists. It wasn't enough, though, as Houston shot poorly from everywhere but the foul line and still managed to win. "We find some way to keep ourselves in a game, despite shooting the ball extremely bad,'' said McGrady, who went 9-for-29 from the field. "But we hit big shots when we needed them. We're doing a great job of getting to the free throw line.''

我觉得是一种恶性循环。AK47进攻本来就不是非常强,SLOAN就叫他少出手，多防守；结果越少出手机会，让AK47的得分手感逐渐消退，命中率也随之下跌。结果，SLOAN更不放心让AK47进攻，限制他出手次数。。。  AK47的进攻越来越没信心，几乎被排在进攻体系外。。。变成一个几乎没有得分力的ALL STAR。。。

Utah 81, Houston 67 SALT LAKE CITY, April 26 (AP) -- The Utah Jazz shot poorly again and rushed on offense a few times, yet coach Jerry Sloan was about as tickled as he gets. Utah's defense was good enough to overcome any offensive struggles, and the Jazz beat Houston 81-67 Thursday night to cut the Rockets' lead to 2-1 in their playoff series. The Jazz held the Rockets without a field goal for 10 minutes in the second half and didn't allow Houston's reserves to score a single point. Yao Ming scored 26 and Tracy McGrady had 24 points for Houston, but only two other Rockets scored. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the first time in NBA Playoff history that one team had only four scorers. The last time it happened in any NBA game, the Minneapolis Lakers fell to the Philadelphia Warriors 88-82 on Jan. 13, 1952. Minneapolis's four scorers were George Mikan, Vern Mikkelsen, Jim Pollard and Slater Martin. Each of those players is in the Hall-of-Fame. If Yao and McGrady combine for just 50 points, it's not a bad night for the defense, especially when the rest of the team scored only 17 more. "I don't think you're going to stop those guys," Sloan said. "I thought we tried harder and that's all you can do." The stifling defense made up for another marginal night on offense. Utah was 33-for-85 from the field -- 2-for-15 on 3-pointers -- but had 15 offensive rebounds to Houston's nine and forced the Rockets into 19 turnovers. And the Jazz were finally able to crack the Rockets' defense inside, outscoring Houston 40-10 in the paint. "It's all about energy and I think we had it tonight," said Utah's Matt Harpring, who had 13 points to lead the Jazz reserves. "When we're good we get in the paint. We shoot free throws and we rebound. When we have those three things going for us, we're a tough team to beat." Carlos Boozer had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Mehmet Okur had four blocks and four steals, blanketing Yao all night with much more physical defense than Utah usually gets from its second-leading scorer. "It was a great defensive night for us. Memo stepped up a lot," Utah's Deron Williams said. "I think defense won the game for us tonight."

Utah 98, Houston 85 SALT LAKE CITY, April 28 (AP) -- Mehmet Okur broke out of his scoring slump with 16 points, stifled Yao Ming defensively, and the Utah Jazz evened their first-round series with a 98-85 victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday night in Game 4. Deron Williams added 25 points, including 11 in the third quarter. Utah outscored Houston 33-17 in the period and again flustered the Rockets into a listless second half while tying the series at two games apiece. Yao scored 20, his lowest total of the series, and had to fight through Okur and Jarron Collins all night. Tracy McGrady added 18 points before Houston coach Jeff Van Gundy pulled his starters. Game 5 is Monday in Houston, where the Rockets won the first two games of the series. Carlos Boozer finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Matt Harpring added 17 points as the Jazz ensured there will be at least one more home game this season. Okur hadn't scored more than seven in the first three games of the series and ended up tying his career playoff high. His defense, however, was much more important, as he made Yao miserable again, keeping him from getting inside much and swiping the ball away with quicker hands several times.

Houston 96, Utah 92 HOUSTON, April 30 (AP) -- Tracy McGrady was hitting shots and giving out assists at a record pace. Yao Ming was grabbing rebounds and dominating inside. A change of scenery was just what the All-Star duo and the rest of the Houston Rockets needed to regain control of their playoff series with Utah. McGrady had 26 points and a career-high 16 assists, Yao had 21 points and 15 rebounds, and the Rockets beat the Jazz 96-92 on Monday night to take a 3-2 lead in their first-round series. "It's up to me to make my teammates better and to get them the open shots,'' McGrady said. "If I penetrate and be aggressive and guys collapse on me, then those guys got to be confident enough to knock down shots on the perimeter.''

BOOZER（22分）,OKUR（19分），WILLIAM（15分）,KIRILENKO（14分）多点开火，协助爵士以12分的优势击败火箭。

KIRILENKO总算打出巨星风范，除了得分在本playoff系列首次过双，还有五个篮板球，五个盖帽 ，4个助攻，3个盗球!    （别再哭泣，AK47 ）

火箭巨星姚明虽然有25分，却在爵士队的密集防守下有了8次失误。T-Mac虽然有26分，不过命中率23中8。其他人除了Alston得13分，贡献有限。

下一场要到火箭主场，进行决定生死的第七场！！！

103-99，爵士在火箭主场艰辛打赢了最后一场生死战！！！


多么熟悉的组合 - 爵士内线有POWER FORWARD CARLOS BOOZER,打出35分，14篮板球和5个助攻;外线有PG DEROME WILLIAM得20分14助攻...  恍如上次带领爵士队打入季后赛的助攻王STOCKTON和邮差MALONE！

爵士也是2001年以来，第7支从0-2落后的情况下反败为胜的季后赛队伍。爵士也是有史以来第19支能在客场赢得第7场季后赛生死战的队伍。这对缺席季后赛两年的爵士队来说，的确是个大跃进。

执教爵士20年的JERRY SLOAN说：“对这群小伙子来说，是场美好的胜利。我非常高兴。”

在最后5分钟，OKUR和AK47连续命中三分，BOOZER在最后90秒抢到两个价值连城的进攻篮板，是扭转比赛的关键。

火箭台柱T-MAC有29分13助攻，姚明也攻入29分，但是挽救不了火箭队在3年季后赛系列中，2次领先2-0却落败的命运。

Utah 103, Houston 99 HOUSTON, May 5 (AP) -- The young Utah Jazz are moving on in the NBA playoffs with a new point guard and power forward combination. With fresh faces - but the same, old coach - the Jazz beat the Houston Rockets 103-99 on Saturday night to clinch their first playoff series victory since 2000 - when John Stockton and Karl Malone were still running the pick-and-roll. Carlos Boozer is the new inside force and Deron Williams is the guy running the offense. In Game 7, the results looked awfully familiar. Boozer had 35 points, 14 rebounds and five assists and Williams had 20 points and 14 assists as the Jazz became only the seventh team since 2001 to come back from a 2-0 deficit and win a series. "We have to finish up and see where we end up and then look back,'' Boozer said. "If we get too excited, we won't be having too much more success. We have to stay hungry, otherwise, we'll be going home soon, too.'' The Jazz also became just the 19th visiting team to win in 97 Game 7s in playoff history, a significant step for a franchise that hadn't even been to the playoffs since 2003. "It's a great win for our young guys,'' said Utah coach Jerry Sloan, in his 20th season in Utah. "I couldn't be happier.'' Tracy McGrady, meanwhile, was left to ponder another playoff failure. The seven-time All-Star had 29 points and 13 assists, but he fell to 0-6 in the playoffs.

我也很喜欢火箭。。。   可惜命运安排我最喜欢的爵士和火箭提早相遇，还打到那么惨烈。。。  哎，无论如何，谢谢爵士和火箭每位球员，带给大家连场好戏！

老实说，我也非常喜欢火箭。不只是因为麦迪、还有巴提尔！我从他在灰熊队时就非常喜欢他 。

另外，火箭队确实不应该取胜，原因之一是其板凳的贡献实在非常有限。就算真被其侥幸进入第二圈，我想最后的结果肯定也是输球出场 。季后赛不像常规赛，不是麦迪偶尔发发飙就能够取胜的。团队的努力与贡献在防守难度加强后的季后赛里更显得重要 。无可否认的，爵士队在这点表现得比火箭队更为出色

Bonzi Well已经跟火箭决裂了，实际详情我也不知道为什么，他应该在下个赛季前就会走人鸟。。。对火箭来说真的是损失蛮大的

只希望火箭的管理层能用它换来一个好一点的球员，最好是大前锋。。。。

The way the NBA is set up, if I am Don Nelson, I encourage my team to continue to play with the same style that they played in the last series. That is Don Nelson type of basketball and that is the type of basketball that has made his teams, even in the past, successful. Just encourage them to go out and keep scoring. Scoring seems to be the key right now in the playoffs. It’s not really about both teams making a lot of stops. The teams that are putting the ball in the basket, the officials are allowing them to play. Their style of play suits the playoffs just perfectly.

I don’t see any letdown. You are talking about one of the greatest coaches in the game. When you speak of the Pat Rileys, the Phil Jacksons, you have to speak of Don Nelson and the success that he has had in the game. He has been able to take teams without centers, and give guys who are just mediocre players an opportunity to go out and succeed. He feels very strong about his coaching philosophy because it’s been very successful. Don Nelson sees this as an opportunity as, hey, maybe my team can win a championship. We’re damn sure going to try. That’s how he coaches and that’s how his team goes out and plays. I look back at the “Run TMC” days with Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond. Those guys didn’t have much more than what you’re looking at with this current Warriors team, which is a very strong ability to go out and get 90 points from three of your top players. You have Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson and Jason Richardson who can all step up and score 30 points. That is a lot of points coming from your frontline. You don’t really need a big man when you’ve got guys who can put up points like that.

They’re a team that is going to execute. They are going to get layups. They’re not going to rely on the jumpshot. They’re going to execute and make Golden State have to play. And on the other end, they’re a very good basketball team from a defensive standpoint. They’re not going to give in. They don’t have weak links on their defense and they’re not going to have the opportunity to take advantage, speaking of Golden State, of any individuals on Utah. All those guys are pretty much stand alone defenders, but also they’re a very good team defensively.

When you look at Jerry Sloan teams, they’re all very disciplined. They execute well. They play within themselves. But this is a team that is a little bit different than the Utah teams that we’ve seen in the past. They do have a little bit more of an uptempo style, but they run with a purpose. They’re not going to get out of the context of their game and start playing the type of basketball that we saw with the Golden State-Dallas series where they were just running up and down, jacking three-pointers. Utah is not going to get caught up in that kind of game. Utah is going to be a far more hostile environment for Golden State than what they faced in Dallas. That is a very tough arena to win in and they are going to control the tempo. They’re going to execute, get fouls, slow the game down and they’re going to make it very difficult for Golden State to make those runs that they made in the Dallas series. Jerry Sloan is not going to allow that. He is going to use his timeouts effectively and they’re going to make it very tough on Golden State to come in there and get a win. I know Baron Davis is going to be a handful, but expect this Utah team to really step up defensively and focus on Baron Davis.

Prediction

I like Utah to advance. I think Golden State will give them their money’s worth, but I just think the mental toughness and the ability they have of guys that will step in the lane and not allow Davis to dominate their paint as Richardson and Davis and Jackson did in the Dallas series will be big. You can’t have small guards inside dominate the paint and I think Utah will own the paint in this series.

如果Bonzi Well上阵，火箭队会增加第三个得分手。。。  Bonzi Well的得分爆发力也非常强。。。  不过脾气也有同样有点爆。。。  像Rasheed Wallace那样，才华洋溢，但是难以驾驭
