Contents	:	Pursuant to Paragraph 9.19(23) of the Listing Requirements, the Board of Directors of YTL Corporation Berhad ("YTL Corp” or “the Company") wishes to announce that YTL Power Services Sdn Bhd (“YTLPS”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of YTL Cayman Limited which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of YTL Corp, has acquired 1 ordinary share of par value US$1.00 representing the entire issued and paid-up share capital of YTL Power Services (Cayman) Limited (“YTLPS Cayman”) for US$1.00 in cash ["the Acquisition"]. As a result of the Acquisition, YTLPS Cayman has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of YTLPS and an indirect subsidiary of the Company.
Announcement Details : YTLPS Cayman is incorporated in the Cayman Islands on 19 February 2008 and has an authorized share capital of US$50,000.00 comprising 50,000 shares of US$1.00 each. YTLPS Cayman will be principally involved in investment holding and provision of operations and maintenance services of power plants. The Acquisition is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings, net assets and gearing of the YTL Corp Group for the current financial year. None of the Directors or major shareholders of the Company or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect in the Acquisition.
