SIME DARBY BHD (FORMERLY KNOWN AS SYNERGY DRIVE BHD) (“SIME DARBY” OR “COMPANY”) COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF THE REMAINING ORDINARY SHARES OF RM1.00 EACH IN NEGARA PROPERTIES (M) BERHAD (“NEGARA”) (“NEGARA SHARES”) NOT HELD BY SIME DARBY UNDER SECTION 34 OF THE SECURITIES COMMISSION ACT, 1993 (“SCA”) (“COMPULSORY ACQUISITION”) We refer to the take-over offer by Sime Darby for the remaining Negara Shares not owned by Sime Darby, which had closed on 16 November 2007. As at 16 November 2007, Sime Darby had an equity interest of 99.05% in Negara. Acquisition of a new subsidiary - Sime Darby Power Link Sdn. Bhd. (announcement pursuant to Chapter 9.19 (23) of the Listing Requirements) Sime Darby Berhad ("Sime Darby") wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sime Darby Energy Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Sime Darby Oil & Gas Sdn. Bhd.) had today acquired 2 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Sime Darby Power Link Sdn. Bhd.
