赚幅提高 马镀锡首季净利激增328%

（吉隆坡31日讯）尽管销量下跌，但由于赚幅提高，马镀锡工业（Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia Bhd）首季净利激增328%至1214万令吉，相比上财年同期的284万令吉。

该集团今日向大马交易所报备，截至6月杪次季的每股盈利从2.86仙，增至12.22仙。

首季营业额由2亿3750万令吉，微增至2亿3883万令吉。

马镀锡指出，由于销量和价格上涨，越南业务收入按年上升19.7%。大马方面，尽管售价提高，但销量跌，导致收入降6.8%。

展望本财年，该集团表示，令吉汇率波动及进口量增加，营运环境依然具挑战和竞争。

然而，该集团将继续生产效率、成本节约措施和营销努力，以维持获利。

（吉隆坡31日讯）马镀锡工业（Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia Bhd，Perstima）计划在菲律宾设立新厂房，以制造马口铁和无锡钢。

这需要得到菲律宾当地监管机构的批准。

马镀锡工业向大马交易所报备，该公司已对菲律宾市场进行了可行性研究，发现目前没有现成的马口铁和无锡钢制造商。

“按年国内需求约为22万吨，包括17万吨马口铁和5万吨无锡钢。目前，菲律宾的马口铁和无锡钢来自其他国家，因此，菲律宾是个潜在市场。”

该公司补充说：“此外，如果投资符合标准，菲律宾政府将为马口铁和无锡钢制造商提供奖掖，以支持菲律宾经济。”

马镀锡工业预计，上述投资将不会显著影响其截至2019年3月31日止财年的每股盈利、每股净资产、负债、股本及大股东股权架构。

该公司说：“当获得地方当局的相关批准，将进一步公告。”

目前，马镀锡工业在柔佛巴西古当工业园，以及越南平阳省顺安区的越南新加坡工业园设有制造厂。

大马制造厂按年产量达20万吨，越南则是12万吨。

The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that the Company proposes to invest in the Philippines by setting up of a new subsidiary which will own a new plant for manufacturing and supplying of tinplate and tin free steel domestically subject to the approval of the local authorities in the Philippines (the “Proposed Investment”). The Company has conducted a feasibility study on the market in the Philippines which has a population of approximately 100 million and there are no existing tinplate and tin free steel manufacturers in the Philippines. The annual domestic demand is approximately 220,000 metric tonnes (“MT”) comprising 170,000MT and 50,000MT of tinplate and tin free steel respectively. Currently, the tinplate and tin free steel in the Philippines are sourced from other countries hence, there is a potential market in the Philippines. In addition, there would be incentives for tinplate and tin free steel manufacturers as a base industry to be provided by the Government of the Philippines to support the Philippines economy if the Proposed Investment meets the criteria set. The Proposed Investment is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings per share, net assets per share, gearing, share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholding of the Company and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) for the financial year ending 31 March 2019. None of the Directors and/or major shareholders of PERSTIMA and/or persons connected with them have any interests, direct or indirect, in the Proposed Investment. The Proposed Investment does not require approval from the shareholders of PERSTIMA but subject to the approvals from the local authorities in Philippines being obtained. Having considered all aspects of the Proposed Investment, the Board of Directors of PERSTIMA is of the opinion that the Proposed Investment is in the best interest of the Group.
