答案：

Being unemployed, he doesn't have much money.

这是两个部分组成的复合句，前者解释后者的原因：
Because he is unemployed, he doesn't have much money.
Because he is unemployed 可以改为 ing 从句：Being umemployed
这里的 unemployed 是形容词。

其他例子：
Because I had a cold, I didn't go to school.
=> Having a cold, I didn't go to school.
Because she felt tired, she went to bed early.
=> Feeling tired, she went to bed early.

mind 之后不可用不定式动词 to live，需用动名词 living
(be) used to 是习惯的意思，同样需用动名词 living： He is used to (something): something = living alone
