KUALA LUMPUR: MalayanBanking Bhd plans to raise about RM6 billion from a renounceable rights issueon the basis of nine rights shares for every 20 shares held as part of itsongoing strategic transformation plan.


Maybanksaid on Feb 27 the plan was to strengthen the group’s core business andfranchise, further enhance its capital base via the proposed rights issue.


It said the proposed rights issue entails theissuance of up to 2.21 billion rights shares.


It said the issue price of the rights shares wouldbe determined by the board at a price-fixing date to be determined later. Itwould be at a discount of 30% to 40% to the theoretical ex-rights price of theshares based on prevailing market price on the price-fixing date.


“Theproceeds from the proposed rights issue are proposed to be utilised for workingcapital and general banking purposes after netting off estimated expenses ofRM45.0 million,” it said.


Maybank closed 15 sen lower to RM5.10.

都只是建议或者有意思－－还没正式确定－就算圈定也已经是４月后的事－－可能和党选没有直接关系。。。只是目前风声鹤唳的时候出这些消息动机可疑。。。谁都会算将预见股价挫跌。。。

馬銀行發股籌資60億
（吉隆坡27日訊）馬銀行（MAYBANK，1155，主板金融）計劃發行附加股籌資60億令吉資金，融資收購及供未來3至5年成長用途，該行也將在今年6月為收購印尼國際銀行（BII）撥備損失。馬銀行總裁兼總執行長拿督斯里阿都瓦希指出，附加股比例將為每20股現有股，獲配9股附加股，后者理論除權價將享有股價的30%至40%折扣。
“上述籌資將支援我們的轉型計劃，提升我們的資產負債表及資本率，以及加強業務及內部增長。”
發行首發股后，馬銀行的風險加權比重（RWCR）將從13.5%提升至16.4%。
馬銀行次季淨利按年微揚0.5%，報7億3456萬令吉。
惟因投資銀行及保險業務收入走低，以及經濟挑戰影響，首半年淨利跌11%，報13億673萬令吉。
他今日出席次季業績匯報會后，發表談話；列席者包括該行總財務長凱魯沙烈。
110億購3外銀
阿都瓦希指出，60億令吉籌資比原訂的30億令吉更高，主要是要將資本恢復到收購海外銀行之前的水平，以及加強業務。
馬銀行早前先后收購3間海外銀行股權，總收購值高達約110億令吉，該行自去年6月以來已籌資91億令吉，加上此次附加股，總籌資額達151億令吉。
阿都瓦希說，附加股總數料達22億股，料在4月底上市，大股東國民投資機構（PNB）及公積金局（EPF）將認購附加股。
該行未來3至5年未有再籌資計劃。
