RENOUNCEABLE RESTRICTED OFFER FOR SALE OF 99,929,116 ORDINARY SHARES OF RM0.50
EACH IN YTL POWER INTERNATIONAL BERHAD ("OFFER SHARES") BY YTL CORP TO THE
ENTITLED SHAREHOLDERS OF YTL CORP AT AN OFFER PRICE OF RM1.00 PER OFFER SHARE
PAYABLE IN FULL UPON ACCEPTANCE, ON THE BASIS OF 1 OFFER SHARE FOR EVERY 15
EXISTING ORDINARY SHARES OF RM0.50 EACH HELD IN YTL CORP AT 5.00 P.M. ON 14
DECEMBER 2007 ("ROS")
On behalf of YTL Corp, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that as
at the close of the acceptance and payment for the ROS at 5.00 p.m. on 7
January 2008, total acceptance and excess applications received for the ROS was

for 124,239,855 Offer Shares.  This represents an over-subscription of
24,310,739 Offer Shares or 24.33% over the total number of 99,929,116 Offer
Shares available for subscription under the ROS.

Details of acceptances and excess applications received as at the close of
acceptance and payment for the ROS at 5.00 p.m. on 7 January 2008 are set out
in Table 1.

The Board of Directors of YTL Corp have determined the basis of allocation for
the excess applications for the ROS on a fair and equitable basis based on the
following priority as disclosed in the Prospectus dated 17 December 2007:

(i)        firstly, to minimise the incidence of odd lots; and

(ii)        secondly, on a pro-rata basis to entitled shareholders and/or their
renouncee(s) (if applicable) who have applied for excess Offer Shares, based on

their respective shareholdings in YTL Corp on the entitlement date.
