The Company wishes to announce that MJC (Singapore) Pte Ltd ("MJC"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Megan Media Holdings Berhad, had on 23 March 2007, received an Originating Summons dated 21 March 2007 vide a letter of Messrs Shook Lin & Bok, a legal firm in Singapore acting for Koninklijke Philips Electronic N.V (Netherlands) ("the Plaintiff").
Under the Originating Summons, the Plaintiff has claimed a total sum of USD616,585 being royalty payable.
The cost of investment in MJC is USD25,568,000.
The claim is not expected to have a material financial and operating impact on the Group.
The subsidiary is disputing the said amount and will negotiate through its solicitors with the plaintiff to settle the dispute.

singapore公司也会被sue??听说singapore 公司个个遵守法律的。。。。。。。
因为singapore什么都是law，不可以玩笑的。比起来，马来西亚是做生意的天堂。。。。 |
