Frey – 7 – Helpless with regards to the goals scored by the home side, the French goalkeeper made a fine one-on-one save from Coulibaly and had several other decent blocks. Only a couple of dodgy moments.
Comotto – 6.5 – On a night when the defending was not particularly impressive, the Viola right-back was not excessively tested. Made a couple of decent headed clearances, though the opening goal did come from down his flank.
Gamberini – 6 – Not the kind of classy display you would expect from an Italian centre-back, he was caught out much too easily for Coulibaly’s header and had a largely uncomfortable night. He would argue he was left exposed.
Dainelli – 6.5 – Produced a good centre to allow Mutu to reply after the home side had taken a prompt lead, and was relatively sound otherwise before being taken off ten minutes after the interval.
Pasqual – 6 – Was given a very awkward game by Cvitkovics, who threatened on several occasions, particularly in the first half. Indeed, he was caught under the ball as the hosts opened the scoring early. Looked more accomplished when the Viola were in possession.
Santana – 6.5 – Took his goal with aplomb but would have liked to have exerted more of an influence on proceedings from broken play. Some sharp one-touch passes.
Zanetti – 6 – At the heart of a frenetic game it was tough for either midfield to get on the ball and play. The former Juventus man would have liked to have played a more destructive role and was replaced by Montolivo at half-time.
Donadel – 6.5 – He harried the home midfield and caused them to make a number of errors, particularly as play became less broken in the second half.
Vargas – 7.5 – Certainly the outstanding midfield presence of the visiting side, the Peruvian frequently got forward down the left to great effect. Thumped a powerful first half shot off the bar and had a hand in a couple of the goals, including the cross that ultimately led to Santana’s winner.
Mutu – 9.0 mutu回来了,紫百合要靠你轰击欧冠 – Eyebrows were raised when he was announced in the starting XI ahead of Jovetic, but Cesare Prandelli called it right as the Romanian produced an outstanding game. Scored two, one an outstanding long ranger, and setup Gilardino for another. Top dog on the night.
Gilardino – 8.5 – Criticised for a low-key weekend performance, he responded perfectly, showing great ability to hold the ball up. Scored Fiorentina’s second and assisted their third, his overall contribution was huge.
Substitutes
Montolivo – 6.5 – Certainly added some calm to the midfield in the second half but didn’t necessarily get his chance to showcase his passing range.
Natali – 7 – Came into the defence when the match was losing its sting and coped very well.
Jorgensen – 6 – Brought on for the final quarter so had little chance to impress. Should have released quicker when Gilardino was well placed in front of goal.
Player Ratings: Inter 2-2 Dynamo Kiev
可怜的国米,在欧冠一胜难求。
Cesar – 6.0 – Had very little to do on the night and wasn't at fault for the goals.
Maicon – 6.0 – His usual big, powerful ferocious self, always attacking at every opportunity and driving the team forward with his right-sided bursts.
Lucio – 5.5 – Took a while to stop being grumpy and start playing football. His precise, last ditch tackle on Shevchenko in the second half was a highpoint but his helpless mis-kick to let the former Milan man in on goal was not.
Samuel – 6.5 – Another horrible, snarling ugly display from one of the meanest centre-backs around. His angled, rocket-like header was typical of his willingness to grab the game around the throat.
Chivu – 6.0 – Impressive going forward, struggled at times to hold onto Shevchenko and Milevsky at the back.
Zanetti– 6.5 – Does he ever have a bad game? Dribbled and skipped and prodded and chased and covered, all in a days work for one of the most under-rated midfielders of the last ten years. His burst into the box with five minutes left was stunning,
Cambiasso – 6.0 – A constant thorn in the middle of the park, once again he was asked to assist going forward as Inter became desperate at the end.
Muntari – 5.0 – Seems like a nice lad, Muntari. But his usefullness as a midfielder is surely one for debate.
Sneijder – 6.0 – Frequently the only spark of invention in attack for the home side, he is no Lionel Messi but he does at least link midfield and attack with some wit.
Stankovic – 7.0 – Inter's best player on the night, Stankovic has somehow tamed his wayward shooting into something much more precise. Always nasty too.
Eto'o – 5.5 – Lightning fast on the break but he would be much better off if he stopped falling over and questioning every decision that goes against him.
Substitutes
Suazo – 4.5 – A bit part striker low on confidence.
Rubinho (Palermo): An injury allowed him to start the match in Livorno and he took his chance well, making a number of key saves, including a fantastic one on Nico Pulzetti to help the Rosanero keep up their recent run of positive results.
Defence
Maicon (Inter): As always the Brazilian was dominant down the right, pressuring Genoa to the fullest extent. His impressive work-rate was rewarded with the goal that finished the Nerazzurri’s rout at the Marassi.
Andrea Ranocchia (Bari): It is no wonder that the likes of Juventus are keeping tabs on the Under-21 international. His performances at the back are one of the reasons for the promoted outfit’s success in Serie A this season. There is little chance Bari will be going back to Serie B with this old head on young shoulders leading the back-line.
Lucio (Inter): The veteran centre-back played his position perfectly all night long, even making a great sliding challenge to keep the visitors’ clean sheet intact late in the match.
Cristian Chivu (Inter): Giuseppe Sculli had been one of the stand-out players in Serie A this season, and Raffaele Palladino can also be a tricky customer, but the Romanian kept them in check with consummate ease, barely putting a foot wrong on Saturday evening.
Midfield
Christian Maggio (Napoli): The Italian always seems to put in a great shift down the right and was in-form against Bologna, giving Walter Mazzarri a winning start as Napoli coach by tapping in a 91st minute winner that drove the Stadio San Paolo wild.
Daniele Dessena (Cagliari): What a goal from the young midfielder! A superb bicycle kick and plenty of good work in the middle of the park - he did not deserve to be on the losing side as his team fell to Catania.
Dejan Stankovic (Inter): You can tell Stankovic loves to wear the Inter kit. Hard working and skilful, the 31-year-old showed great coordination to score one of the goals of the season by redirecting Marco Amelia’s clearance from the half-way line into the empty net - the Serbian’s third goal in three matches for his club. Bravo Stankovic!
Attack
Ronaldinho (Milan): It was not the vintage ‘Dinho from Barca, but nonetheless he played a hand in both of the Rossoneri’s goals in a confidence boosting victory. The Brazilian coolly slotted home a penalty before his superb pass setup Pato for the winner at the San Siro.
Wesley Sneijder (Inter): Simple, yet very, very effective from the Dutchman. He played a hand in three Inter goals and is becoming more accustomed to the Nerazzurri. The ex-Galactico will no doubt will have a big say in their title challenge. It’s also two appearances in a row for Wesley in the ‘Team of the Week’.
Valeri Bojinov (Parma): The young Bulgarian is beginning to find his feet again, showing a great amount of intelligent movement and scoring a priceless goal for his team against relegation rivals Siena in a 1-0 victory.

Marco Amelia (Genoa): The shot stopper conceded five goals to the Nerazzurri and was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons as Dejan Stankovic spectacularly redirected his wayward clearance into the net from the half-way line.
Defence
Thiago Silva (Milan): The Brazilian can only be forgiven for his dreadful error at the start of the game thanks to the efforts of compatriots Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato up front. His give-away to Jeremy Menez was atrocious.
Emiliano Moretti (Genoa): Obviously the Genoa defence did not have a very good day against the Nerazzurri, and Moretti was one of the main culprits. Outworked and outmanoeuvred by Jose Mourinho’s attackers.
Salvatore Bocchetti (Genoa): The young defender was completely overrun by the likes of Stankovic, Wesley Sneijder and Mario Balotelli at the Marassi. Inter ran rampant and he simply could not keep up.
Midfield
Michele Fini (Siena): His sending off in the first-half left his team with no chance of getting back into the match against Parma. Inexcusable.
Gaetano D’Agostino (Udinese): Perhaps he was tired from international duty with Italy, because Atalanta by-passed him with ease in the midfield. He did none of his usual playmaking as the Zebrette fell to an unexpected loss at the Friuli.
What Happened? | Gaetano was left confused
Javier Pastore (Palermo): The Argentine struggled to make any impact. After he was substituted his team scored twice to win the match against Livorno - definitely a fixture to forget.
Francesco Modesto (Genoa): The winger started off the evening by deflecting the ball past his own .keeper and things got worse from there. He was beaten by Patrick Vieira for the fourth goal of the evening and is capable of far better performances.
Attack
Marcelo Zalayeta (Bologna): He had little success while at Napoli, and also had little success on his return to the San Paolo as his side were handed a 2-1 loss. The Uruguayan was simply never a factor for the Rossoblu.
Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina): Coming off a highly prolific week on international duty, during which he scored four goals, the former Parma star offered little in Turin and was anonymous for large portions of the match.
Goal-scorers Anonymous | 'Gila' had no impact
Francesco Tavano (Livorno): This is not the first time that he finds himself in our Worst XI. Everyone must be wondering what happened to the exciting player who graced the pitch for Empoli. He will soon lose his place in the team if his dire form continues.
