我想问在differentiation里面，到底要怎样画straight line 去determine set of value 是有无real root?
比如：
The equation of a curve is y=x^2(x-2)
find the stationary points on the curve and determine their nature .
sketch the curve
On a separate diagram , sketch the curve y=1/x^2(x-2) and state the equation of the asymptotes of the curve .
Find the set of values k such that the equation x^2(x-2)=k has 3 real roots
或者
y=x(x-2)^2 and y=1/x(x-2)^2
Sketch the curve on separate diagrams and give the equation of the asymptotes of the second curve .
find the set of values of k where the equation x(x-2)^2=k
a) one real root
b) three real and distinct roots |
