| | Contents | : | TheCompany has today, received a press release issued by CIMB, on behalfof UEMG, informing, amongst others, that the Offer has closed at 5.00p.m. (Malaysian time) on 23 October 2008 ("Closing Date"). Inaccordance with Section 25(1) of the Malaysian Code on Take-Overs andMergers, 1998, disclosure on the shareholding position and level ofacceptances of the Offer as at 5.00 p.m. (Malaysian time) on theClosing Date will be made available before 9.00 a.m. (Malaysian time)on the market day following the Closing Date.
In addition, as at 5.00 p.m. (Malaysian time) on the Closing Date, UEMGhas received valid acceptances from the holders of the Offer Sharesexceeding nine-tenths in the nominal value of the Offer Shares (otherthan CIMA Shares already held at the date of the Offer by UEMG or by anominee or a related corporation of UEMG) ("90% Offer Shares"). In thisrespect, the Offer Shares excludes 46,671,350 CIMA Shares alreadyacquired by UEMG pursuant to its entitlement under the non-renounceablerestricted offer for sale by UEM World Berhad of shares in its listedsubsidiaries in Malaysia made via its Prospectus dated 16 September2008.
Based on the above, UEMG shall within 2 months from 23 October 2008,proceed to invoke Section 34 of the Securities Commission Act, 1993 tocompulsorily acquire any remaining Offer Shares for which acceptanceshave not been received under the Offer.

The Company has today, received the attached press release issued byCIMB, on behalf of UEMG, informing, amongst others, that UEMG hasreceived valid acceptances from the holders of the Offer Sharesresulting in UEMG and persons acting in concert with it (“PACs”)holding in aggregate (together with such UEM Builders Shares that arealready acquired, held or entitled to be acquired or held by UEMG andits PACs) 881,530,366 UEM Builders Shares, representing 91.46% of thetotal UEM Builders Shares as at 23 October 2008.
In addition, the closing date of the Offer has been extended by 14 daysfrom 5.00 p.m. (Malaysian time) on Thursday, 23 October 2008 to 5.00p.m. (Malaysian time) on Thursday, 6 November 2008. All other terms andconditions of the Offer remain unchanged.
Accordingly, pursuant to Paragraphs 8.15(5) and 8.15(6) of the ListingRequirements and Paragraph 6.1 of Practice Note 19/2006 of the ListingRequirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”),all the securities of UEM Builders shall be removed from the OfficialList of Bursa Securities and trading in securities of UEM Builders willbe suspended on the market day immediately following the expiry of 5market days from the date of the announcement by UEM Builders that 90%or more of the UEM Builders Shares are held by UEMG and its PACs.

伊佳蘭馬友乃德環球31日停牌
（吉隆坡24日訊）伊佳蘭（EKRAN，3085，主板產業）及馬友乃德環球（UEMWRLD，1775，主板建築），將在本月31日停牌。馬證交所發表文告指出，伊佳蘭因違反馬證交所條例，丹斯里陳伯勤無法在限期內償還Danaharta Urus總值5000萬令吉債務，被勒令在本月31日上午9時暫停交易。
馬友乃德環球則發布文告指出，為配合公司執行減退資本計劃，該公司將在本月31日停牌。
馬友乃德環球將回退資本給股東，同時派發馬友乃德置地（UEM Land）每一股普通股派息50仙。 |

搶先上市
馬友置地融資8.5億
發展努莎再也城鎮
（吉隆坡17日訊）馬友乃德置地（UEM Land）計劃向本地銀行借貸融資8億5000萬令吉，以發展努莎再也城鎮（Nusajaya）。馬友乃德置地在集團重組活動下，將取代馬友乃德環球（UEMWRLD，1775，主板建築）上市地位，並將在明日早上9時，正式在馬股主板交易。
馬友乃德置地今日回覆“彭博社”電郵時指出，計劃為明年的努莎再也城鎮工程計劃，籌資12億令吉。
該公司指出，計劃向國內銀行借貸融資8億5000萬令吉，惟沒有透露詳情。
“其余的發展資金則將由股東承擔。”
努莎再也城鎮為馬來西亞依斯干達的其中一部分，馬友乃德置地是努莎再也城鎮發展商。
另外，根據“商業時報”在11月15日報導，馬友乃德置地將發行8億4000萬令吉回債，做為營運資本及收購用途。
針對此事，馬友乃德置地也透過電郵否認報導真實性。
馬友乃德集團在今年2月宣佈大規模重組，除了馬友乃德環球，尚涉及4家上市公司，包括馬友乃德建築（UEMBLDR，4855，主板建築）、發馬（PHARMA，7081，主板貿易）、奧普斯（OPUS，3549，主板貿易）及洋灰工業（CIMA，2844，主板工業）。
另外，馬友乃德置地截至9月底第3季，營業額按年上揚18.2%至7837萬令吉，從淨虧1040萬令吉，改善至淨賺111萬令吉。
不過，截至9月底首9個月，馬友乃德置地營業額按年重挫80%至3億2967萬令吉，淨利挫87%至6555萬令吉。 |
