PROPOSED EXEMPTION

TMC LIFE SCIENCES BERHAD (“TMC LIFE SCIENCES” OR “COMPANY”) PROPOSED EXEMPTION FROM COMPLYING WITH THE MINIMUM 30% BUMIPUTERA EQUITY CONDITION We refer to our earlier announcement dated 28 January 2008. TMC Life Sciences is required by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (“MITI”) vide its approval letter dated 19 May 2005 (Ref: MITID/BI/S/0.347/1115(4)) (“IPO Approval Letter”) to meet the 30% Bumiputera equity requirement within one (1) year after the Company has achieved the profit track record required for a company seeking a listing on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) or five (5) years after being listed on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Securities, whichever is earlier. TMC Life Sciences had achieved the profit track record required for a company seeking a listing on the Second Board of Bursa Securities as at 31 December 2005. On 21 December 2007, AmInvestment Bank Berhad (“AmInvestment Bank”) (a member of the AmInvestment Bank Group), on behalf of TMC Life Sciences, had made an application to MITI for an exemption from complying with the 30% Bumiputera equity requirement as required by MITI in its IPO Approval Letter (“Proposed Exemption”). On behalf of the Board of Directors of TMC Life Sciences, AmInvestment Bank is pleased to announce that MITI, vide its letter dated 6 February 2008 (received on 11 February 2008), has no objections to the Proposed Exemption.
