有也是暂时性...或者你拿的是219.94...
219.95才是lag

ping是比较多了,不过不会lag哈哈

219.93.XXX没拿过..应该是区域性的，我看只要不是219.95.XXX就没问题。

我试过2-3个小时,试到土烂不要试

有这样的原因咩？我这里一直拿219.xxx玩ro都不会lag。这只不过是数字上的差别，本地的线才1M和512k，RO server哪能tahan全马这么多人玩？当然会lag。

告诉你,我所讲的218/219是真的
自从那时11/4的事件,streamyx的问题后
219已经大大的改善了...
可以说有时比得上218顺,有时比218lag
我观察后是这样

218,就像冷血动物
比如早上根本没社么人online...它的ping只有70-80
然而当放学,下班的时间...就是很多人上线的时候
它的ping是可以到600的

反而,219就像热血动物
不管社么时候
不管有几少人,几多人都好
它的ping是很stable的...应该是
230-300...



现在我已经没有去拿218了
因为难拿...而且219改很好了
要是以前,219的ping是1k-3k

Hope this will clear up some things for u guys/gals.

Since I play PK server, my explanation is geared towards it. I had problems with my RO connection a few weeks back (not during the international link breakdown) where my system was lagging up to 25 sec for each move. I decided to find the cause of this problem and fix it. Some if this info I learn from other postings and applied it to solving my problem.

PING is a good check but it doesn't tell u where the problem is. From my experience with my connection, any connection below 300ms is good. Anything above that, be prepared for lag.

< 300 ms - very good connection (dream connection)
> 300 ms - lag starts to come in
> 1000 ms - very lag
> 2000 ms - lag 5-20 sec per move (waste time playing)

For those of you who don't know how to ping (for Win XP)
Click on the START button -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
Other older Windows version, it is called MSDOS prompt

Then type -> PING 220.130.113.222
(I got this ip address from my firewall so it is correct)

Pinging 220.130.113.222 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 220.130.113.222: bytes=32 time=300ms TTL=105
Reply from 220.130.113.222: bytes=32 time=293ms TTL=105
Reply from 220.130.113.222: bytes=32 time=292ms TTL=105
Reply from 220.130.113.222: bytes=32 time=293ms TTL=105

Ping statistics for 220.130.113.222:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 292ms, Maximum = 300ms, Average = 294ms

(This shows ur average response time). If you get timeout, it means that ur connection is bad).

What happens when u are in in < 300 ms but still lagging or ur connection is very bad? Where is the problem. Then u have to find out how ur internet connection is getting to RO. U do not have a direct connection to the place u want to go to in the internet, in this case Ro server. Ur signal will have to pass through other computers/routers/gateway before it reaches them.

In this case, we use another command TRACERT . This command will show u how you are linked to that server, and the response time from each link/router. We call each link/router a HOP.

Type this in the Command prompt window again:

The first line says that it will only display information from the first 30 hops. In this case it takes 13 hops for my computer to link to RO PK server.

Line 1 - my computer (response time to my router)
Line 2-7 - TMNET ISP
Line 8-13 - Taiwan ISP

For lag connection the problem starts from hop 7-13. If u see something like this

10 1288 ms 1287 ms 1588 ms 211.22.41.77  
(this shows that this link is lagging)

10 1288 ms * * 211.22.41.77  
(this is bad.. timeout - no response from the link)

To simplify the above for u not tech ppl, assume hop 1 to 13 are 13 ppl in a row. You want to pass a msg from 1 to 13. Normally it takes u 6 secs to pass the message to 13. (1->2->3->4->5->6->7->8->9->10->11->12). However, if person 7 takes his own sweet time to pass the msg to person 8, lets say 1 min, it will end up with 13 getting the msg in 1.5 sec time. If 7 forgot to pass the msg to 8, u get a timeout, 13 doesn't get ur msg.

All connections to routers are not made equal. There are given priority as to what signal goes out faster and what will be slower. So that is why, most of you who link up to streamyx with an ip address beginning with 219.95.xxx.xxx tend to lag.
When u call TMNET helpdesk, restarting ur computer is not because your pc got problem, but it is the easiest way to tell u to reset your ip address. (Streamyx rm66-88 use what we call dynamic ip address, that means it changes everytime your computer connects to the internet). That is why, you try to change your ip address to 219.94.xxx.xxx or 218.xxx.xxx.xxx

In the above line 7, (is the gateway to the international connection). If the reponse time from this is slow, then 8-13 will be slow. That is when you restart your pc internet connection. If the response time is slow from 8-13, then it is the Taiwan ISP problem. if all the lines show fast response and ur RO still lag, then of course RO server problem.

That's why when Gameflier tell u ISP problem, check which ISP, TMNET or HINET.

For me, b4 i play. i always check my ip address and change it if it is 219.95 and then do a tracert to confirm the connection speed for all the hops. How, either no lag or at the worst intermittent lag of 1 sec. However, I seem to have a new problem, frequent dc from the game server, which I believe is originating from the RO server. This I do not know how to fix.

1 more thing. The data send between your pc and the RO server is not more than 2000 bytes (2K). So no use go get 1M connection or RM88 package. RM66 ok already(100K upload / 512K download). (I see from my firewall traffic monitor).
RO only use 1% of your total bandwidth. Like that dialup also can, if the response time is fast.

OK thats all. If I made any mistakes correct me. We all learn together.

ms = 千毫秒
照理说，２０００ms是慢两秒，没５～２５秒那么多吧。。。
