TMC LIFE SCIENCES BERHAD (“TMC LIFE SCIENCES” OR “COMPANY”) EXEMPTION FROM COMPLYING WITH THE MINIMUM 30% BUMIPUTERA EQUITY REQUIREMENT ("BUMIPUTERA EQUITY REQUIREMENT") This announcement is dated 28 January 2008. TMC Life Sciences was required by the Securities Commission (“SC”) vide its approval letter dated 22 April 2005 for the listing of the Company on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) to meet the Bumiputera Equity Requirement within one (1) year after the Company had achieved the profit track record required for a company seeking a listing on the Second Board of Bursa Securities or five (5) years after being listed on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Securities, whichever was earlier. TMC Life Sciences had achieved the profit track record required for a company seeking a listing on the Second Board of Bursa Securities as at 31 December 2005.
