With reference to the Company’s announcement pertaining to its Asset-Backed Cryptocurrency (Horse Currency) made on 21 September 2018, the Founder/Chairman Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew and the Board of Directors of CHHB, further wishes to inform that: 1.            The Board will be taking very patient and prudent steps in the matter of issuing its own Asset-Backed Cryptocurrency. As this is a very new field in the country, and with CHHB being the first public-listed company to come up with such initiative, this may be very sensitive to those who do not understand blockchain technology and are confused on too many cryptocurrencies. 2.            The Company will be convening its Extraordinary General Meeting scheduled on Thursday, 8 November 2018 to provide an avenue to discuss with its shareholders on the Proposed Initial Coin Offering (“ICO”) and to seek their support and endorsement to proceed with the appointments of reputable and the best technology partner(s) and other external consultants to give back-end support to this exercise especially in its implementation. 3.            These consultants will prepare all the necessary documentation for submission and engagement with the relevant authorities for approval, if any. As there is no regulations specifically regulating this, the Founder/Chairman wishes for the relevant authorities to be kept well informed with the Company’s initiative. 4.            Once the Board has decided to proceed with the ICO, the Company will seek the shareholders’ approval and convene another General Meeting for the final endorsement for the launching of the ICO, its structure, mechanism and the exchange centre which will be used. 5.            The Company would like to take this opportunity to announce that it will set up a chair with a local university to educate and promote the importance of blockchain technology for the future of this country. The Founder/Chairman believes that one of the benefits of the blockchain technology, besides reducing cost, is that it is regarded as a trusted machine of integrity as there is no room for corruption or money laundering. The Company welcomes the public to scrutinise its history, loan and interest repayment records as testament to the strength and integrity of the Asset-Backed Cryptocurrency which will be issued. The Founder/Chairman believes that blockchain technology is also in tandem with the Islamic values as it does not charge interest which is not permitted under Islamic values. The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that Mines Waterfront Business Park Sdn Bhd (“MWBP”), a wholly-owned sub-subsidiary of CHHB, has, on 19 November 2018, received Notices of Reduced Assessment (“Notices”), issued by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia ("IRB"), for the Years of Assessment (“YAs”) 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 amounting to RM14,933.43, RM976,891.50, RM1,155,233.75, RM1,034,388.75 and RM687,715.75 respectively from the tax agent of MWBP, namely PKF Tax Services Sdn Bhd. The reduced assessments amounting to RM3,869,163.18 in total are the result of the adjustments on the tax deduction claims on the interest expenses paid to East Vision Leisure Group Sdn Bhd and Maybank term loan of which were submitted by the tax agent of MWBP. Based on the Form JR, MWBP will be expecting a tax refund of RM3,869,163.18 from the IRB. The tax refund will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholding of the Company, but will positively improve the retained earnings of the CHHB Group and that of MWBP. None of the directors or major shareholders of the Company or persons connected to the directors and major shareholders has any direct or indirect interest in the tax refund. The Notices are available for inspection at the Registered Office of the Company at 8th Floor, Block A, Mines Waterfront Business Park, No. 3, Jalan Tasik, Mines Resort City, 43300 Seri Kembangan, Selangor Darul Ehsan during normal office hours from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays) for a period of three months from the date of this announcement.
