The Board of Directors of Pantech Group Holdings Berhad ("the Company") has proposed the payment of a Final Single Tier Dividend of 1.00 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ended 28 February 2019, subject to shareholders' approval at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company. The entitlement date and date of payment of the dividend have yet to be determined. Further announcement will be made at a later date upon finalising the entitlement and payment date. Description	PANTECH GROUP HOLDINGS BERHAD- FINAL AFFIRMATIVE DETERMINATION ON CIRCUMVENTION OF DUTY ORDER ON CARBON STEEL BUTT-WELD FITTINGS FROM THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA
On 14 June 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce (“DOC”) issued a final affirmative determination concerning circumvention of antidumping duty (AD) order on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings from Malaysia. This follows the Anti-circumvention Inquiry which was held following the preliminary determination on 20 July 2018. In this final determination, DOC has verified Pantech Steel Industries Sdn Bhd’s ("PSI") ability to trace country of origin of its shipments of its butt-weld pipe fittings and allows PSI to continue exporting to the U.S. without being subject to antidumping duty provided Pantech and its importers provide the required certifications and documentation to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and maintain certifications and supporting documentation to provide to DOC upon request. PSI will immediately commence shipments of its carbon steel butt-weld fittings to the U.S. once again and this is expected to have positive impact to the Group revenue going forward with contribution from PSI projected to normalise by Q3 FY2020. In the Anti-circumvention Inquiry, DOC recognised that ‘Pantech was forthcoming and voluntarily corrected the error by revising quantity and value data, timely submitted complete and accurate responses to subsequent requests for information and cooperated fully with thorough verification and investigation into the matter. Consequently, DOC is not applying an adverse inference with respect to the country of origin of Pantech’s merchandise.’ Pantech Group consistently adheres to a high standard of governance and transparency in its dealings. The Board maintains that this final determination and recognition is testament to Pantech Group’s unwavering commitment to ethical practices in business. This announcement is dated 18 June 2019.
