拉錫：需完全信任教練　宗偉始能走出低潮

（吉隆坡22日訊）大馬前羽球名將拉錫認為，目前處於低谷的李宗偉，最終一定會走出低潮，重振雄風，前提是必須與國家隊男單教練黃達明緊密合作，重新規劃自己的步伐，並對教練投以百份百的信任。 在美祿的大馬名宿表揚儀式後，拉錫對 《東方日報》表示，大馬男單目前雖然處於低潮期，而近來男雙如日中天的氣勢，幾乎將男單的表現壓倒，但只要球員不放棄，繼續與教練保持緊密合作，最終必能撥雲見日，雨過天晴。 他表示，教練在球員低潮時的責任特別吃重。他必須精明地安排訓練計劃與了解球員的心理狀況，經過坦誠的溝通後，與球員重新建立起信任，幫助球員走出困境。 他認為李宗偉的實力已無用質疑，但心理素質仍有提升空間。因此，宗偉必須與黃達明建立起信任，通過有素質的訓練，找回自己的信心，重攀高峰。 詢及本地教練與外國教練執教的差別時，拉錫表示，他認為效果其實差不多，外國教練不一定能點石成金，本地教練也能調教出冠軍選手。但他表示，外國教練在某種程度上，可以提供多樣化的訓練方式，「話說回來，其實最重要的是球員本身對教練的信心，不然將一切歸零。」 目前掌管羽總2010至2012年輝煌計劃隊的拉錫，表示他會盡力栽培計劃隊中的選手，好讓他們逐漸縮小與成年隊的差距。 「只要每個月或每兩個月，有賽事讓這些年輕選手磨練，他們的水準一定會穩紮穩打地提升。目前在計劃隊中，我認為男單世界排名第47名的陳俊祥與女單世界排名第18名的黃佩嫻前途大好，但也希望其他的球員能更加努力，迎頭趕上。」

KUALA LUMPUR: After toothless performances in the last few international tournaments, national number one Lee Chong Wei aims to polish up his act for the Asian Badminton Championships, which will be held in Johor Baru from April 10-15.

The 25-year-old Chong Wei, who is going through a bad patch in his career, has made some changes to his training programme in an effort to re-build his confidence, especially ahead of the World Championships, which will be held at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil from Aug 13-19.

Instead of focusing solely on court training, he has added variety, including physical training, weight exercises and even playing football.

“I know that my game has lost its sting. This is a problem that I have to rectify. I need to bring back the old Chong Wei, who used to fight without any fear on the court,” said the world number four.

The first big blow for Chong Wei in the last seven months was a first-ever defeat by China’s Bao Chunlai in eight meetings in the quarter-finals of the World Championships in Madrid in September.

His below-par performances continued in the first four legs of the Super Series – in Malaysia, South Korea, England and Switzerland. The second crushing blow to his confidence came at the All-England when he lost to Chen Yu of China despite taking a 20-16 lead in the second game (he was beaten 19-21, 20-22).

“That was the lowest moment for me. I wanted to return home immediately after the defeat. It was demoralising. But to safeguard my world rankings, I went ahead and competed in the Swiss Open. But my heart was no longer there.”

In Basel, he was beaten in the first round by Singapore’s Ronald Susilo.

After a heart-to-heart talk with coach Wong Tat Meng and with strong support from his family, Chong Wei has set his mind on getting back to top form.

“In fact, sometimes when I go out for my meals, people that I do not know encourage me. They tell me not to give up. And that has certainly kept the fire burning for me,” he said.

“There has been too much emphasis on court training. I have requested for some changes. The physical training takes me out of the badminton court and that is refreshing. Playing football also breaks the monotony.

“I am the defending champion at the ABC and it will not be easy to win it for the second time. All I want to do at the ABC is to display a strong performance to regain my confidence.

“It will be great if I can maintain my world rankings among the top four, at least until the world meet. It is certainly harder to get back to the top again but I am confident that once I get out of this bad spell, everything will fall into place for me.”

When asked if he would leave the BAM, to join the Kuala Lumpur Racket Club (KLRC) that will see him reuniting with former national coach Indra Gunawan if he fails to lift his game in the near future, Chong Wei said: “I think it is best not to comment about this for now.

“I want to stay with the BAM for now and my focus is to improve my game.”

Badminton: Duo switch camp to train with Misbun

KUALA LUMPUR: National men’s singles shuttlers Lee Chong Wei and Kuan Beng Hong have split up with their coach Wong Tat Meng to train under national coach Misbun Sidek.

Yesterday, the Badminton Association of Malaysia’s (BAM) chief coach Yap Kim Hock confirmed that Chong Wei and Beng Hong would train with Misbun in a bid to revive their flagging careers.

The two players decided on the change after their poor outings in the back-to-back All-England and Swiss Open recently.

Yesterday, national champion and world No. 4 Chong Wei began his first day of training with Misbun at the Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara. Beng Hong will join him on Monday.

It is the second time this year that Chong Wei and Beng Hong will have a “new” coach. In February, China’s Li Mao left in a huff after signing to join the Korean BA and his place was taken over by Tat Meng.

Chong Wei and Beng Hong were under Misbun’s guidance for two years before Li Mao took over in 2005.

With the inclusion of Chong Wei and Beng Hong, Misbun will have seven players under his wings. The others are Mohd Hafiz Hashim and four juniors – Chan Kwong Beng, Lok Chong Chieh, Zairul Hafiz Zainuddin and Syed Akhbar Mustakim.

Kim Hock said that all those involved were informed of the changes on Thursday.

“Chong Wei and Beng Hong’s inconsistent performances have been a concern for us. The players have asked for a change and the coaches and management have agreed. The duo are confident that they can raise their game under Misbun,” said Kim Hock.

“Both have been with Misbun before. Tat Meng has not taken this decision as a major setback. He too wants the best for these players. He will continue training the others, including Wong Choong Hann.”

The 25-year-old Chong Wei, who spent two hours in training with his new coach yesterday, is hoping to regain his old form.

“I was not a top player when I first joined Misbun (in 2003). Under him, I rose to become a top player in the world. Li Mao further strengthened my skills. Now, I am down again and I hope my form will take flight under him (Misbun),” said Chong Wei.

The Penangite broke into the top 10 for the first time and his reign as the national No.1 also began under the guidance of Misbun.

“I initiated the move not because Tat Meng is not good. He has his own speciality and he has done well by utilising Li Mao’s programme for us,” he said.

“But I feel that Misbun can bring the sting back in my game again. He knows the old Chong Wei well.  

“He can help polish up my attacking skills, especially at the front of the court. Those skills used to strike fear in my opponents.

“Hopefully, with this new arrangement, I will get back on track in my preparation for the World Championships (at Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil from Aug 13-19).”

Chong Wei’s immediate plan is to regain his confidence by doing well at the Asian Badminton Championships (ABC) in Johor Baru from April 10-15.

國家羽隊訓練機制有變動

（吉隆坡訊）大馬國家羽球隊男單訓練機制出現變動，李宗偉和關明鴻已經從黃達明靡下轉投了米士本門下。

國家隊總教練葉錦福週五（30日）證實，李宗偉和關明鴻將跟隨米士本，以期能夠找回昔日的狀態。

兩人對米士本有信心

葉錦福說：“宗偉和明鴻的不穩定性表現讓我們非常關注。球員要求更換教練，而教練組和管理層也同意了。兩人都很有信心，他們能在米士本的指導下，提昇自己的實力。”

大馬羽總是鑑於這兩名男單球員是在近來落幕的全英賽和瑞士公開賽表現不佳後，而做出以上的決定。

這也是李宗偉和關明鴻已經今年第二度更換“新”教練。在中國籍教練李矛今年2月離開後，他的位置由黃達明頂替。

李宗偉和關明鴻曾經是米士本的徒弟，直到李矛於2005年上任後才接受了中國教練的訓練。

錦福：黃達明不很在意

“他們兩人都曾經跟隨過米士本。對於這次的變動，達明並沒有很在意，因為他也希望球員能獲得最好的訓練。他會繼續指導包括黃綜翰在內的其他球員。”

世界排名第4的大馬頭號男單李宗偉週五（30日）已經開始接受米士本的指導，而關明鴻將於星期一（4月2日）才正式訓練。

米士本如今將指導7名球員。除了李宗偉和關明鴻外，還包括哈菲茲以及4名年輕球員曾光明、駱宗傑、再魯和賽阿峇。

調整心理素質訓練
米士本可助宗偉重振雄風

（八打靈再也訊）大馬國家羽隊男單教練米士本有信心協助李宗偉找回失去的速度，並且調整和加強心理素質，以在接下來的比賽中重振雄風。

米士本週一早上在武吉加拉冠軍體育館訓練後表示，他在上週觀察李宗偉的狀態和球路沒有多大的改變，只是在掌握快球方面，沒有掌握節奏和時間。


速度上應先發制人

“宗偉若是在速度方面比對手快半拍，就無需等待對手回球後才作出反應，應該先發制人。”

他表示，宗偉目前主要是錯失先機，沒有掌握好球的節奏和速度，一旦場上面對這種猶疑不決，令宗偉原本的主動優勢變為被動。

“只要宗偉恢復以往的速度和快節奏打法，就可以逐步恢復之前的雄風。”

一場訓練需換7件衣

他說，宗偉目前在訓練需要更換7件球衣，這比之前的更換兩件球衣，顯示宗偉的訓練量加強，而且也恢復宗偉的速度跑訓練，每週四訓練一次。

他指出，宗偉的另一個主要問題是心理素質，後者目前似乎在球路面對到達十字路口，對自己信心不足，所以他會好好與宗偉溝通，重拾後者的狀態。

在李矛執教宗偉之前，米士本曾訓練過宗偉兩年，所以他深信可以再帶領世界排名第4的宗偉重振雄風。

明鴻受封PJK缺席

另一名轉投米士本的國家隊男單關明鴻，由於回去接受吉打蘇丹受封PJK，沒有出席週一起至4月6日的訓練，後者將直接前往新山參加亞洲羽賽；大馬羽隊將在7日南下新山參加4月10日至15日的亞洲羽賽。

米士本表示，明鴻主要的弱點是在心理素質方面，他曾經協助明鴻從世界排名187名躍升至第11名，可是明鴻卻沒有人指引方向和指導他繼續往向前進步。

他表示，明鴻即使沒有與球隊在最後一週一起訓練備戰亞洲羽賽，不過希望後者早已作好準備迎接亞洲羽賽的挑戰。

“明鴻的身體素質很好，所以接下來主要是強調提升明鴻的心理素質，我不否認明鴻的心理素質自從去年湯杯賽對丹麥一役落敗後，就一直走下坡。”

哈菲茲水平落後高手不太遠

而另一名米士本手下的國手級球員哈菲茲，他表示，哈菲茲的表現並沒有與世界級高手落後太多，雖然表現走下坡，但是至少還有打進韓國公開賽4強，所以只要哈菲茲不受傷患影響太多，就有助恢復原有的水平。

（八打靈再也訊）大馬羽球首席男單李宗偉在重新投入前恩師米士本的麾下訓練後，將會嚐試改回自己的拉吊突襲打法，但是也將恢復速度跑訓練，以提升自己的進攻能力。

宗偉今日（週一，2日）早上在武吉加拉冠軍體育館訓練後受訪時表示，由於他接受李矛訓練時，主要是注重場上的技術，不過在重新接受米士本的指導後，將會每週四進行一次速度跑訓練。


他表示，速度跑訓練對提升自己進攻球路很有幫助

藉亞羽賽重拾感覺　宗偉不看重成績

（吉隆坡4日訊） 對於轉投前教練米士本麾下訓練的大馬首號男單李宗偉表示，他並不奢望在即將開打的亞洲羽球錦標賽就立刻打出成績，只希望能從對方身上，從新找回以前的打法和感覺，為接下來的超級系列賽及世錦賽做準備。

宗偉是在週三位于浦種公主城的麥克羽球館訓練後，向記者如是表示。他甚至透露，自己並不是很看重本屆的亞錦賽，本來更想過棄戰該項賽會，但由於這是爭取世錦賽積分的最後一項比賽，自己也是賽會衛冕冠軍，因此才決定參加。

無論如何，貴為亞錦賽衛冕冠軍的李宗偉在本屆賽會的籤運並不佳，根據賽程，宗偉將可能在複賽就提前碰到印尼天王道菲，而半決賽對手相信是曾在全英賽複賽擊敗過他的中國好手陳郁。

對此，李宗偉表示亞錦賽的抽籤形勢並不重要，他表示：「對我來說，本屆亞錦賽並不是很重要，而我認為這一次要進行衛冕並不是一件容易的事，但我對自己在本屆賽會的要求也不高，只希望能透過比賽找回此前的狀態。」

「其實，我的目標是在接下來的超級系列賽，我在前4站超級系列賽最好的成績也就只是8強，因此我希望能在接下來的新加坡以及印尼公開賽中取得突破，也就是說至少爭取闖進半決賽。」

宗偉在前三站超級系列賽（大馬、韓國以及全英賽）都止步8強，而瑞士公開賽更爆冷在首圈出局。

對於此次轉投米士本麾下的決定，李宗偉表示：「轉而接受米士本教練訓練是我自己的要求，這並不表示黃達明不好，只是我覺得米士本會更了解我，從而能給予我更多的幫助。」

他繼續說：「目前，我的訓練將專注于提高進攻的速度，因此，訓練量將會非常激烈。不過，我現在在米士本手下接受訓練還不到一週的時間，因此，現在說什麼還都是為時尚早，一切都還剛剛開始。」

亞羽賽‧面對道菲陳郁強力競爭

（新山訊）大馬首號羽球員李宗偉將參加2007年亞洲羽球錦標賽，尋求3連冠，預料他將面對印尼道菲和中國陳郁的強力競爭。

亞洲羽球錦標賽訂4月10日在新山市政局室內體育館開鑼。總獎金高達12萬5000美元（約43萬600令吉）。


這是自去年以來，在新山舉行的第二個亞洲羽球錦標賽。今年參賽國家與地區有23個，比去年19個國家與地區來得多，參賽好手多達249人。

陳宏黃綜翰虎視眈眈

去年的男單冠軍李宗偉將尋求衛冕，預料他將面對印尼好手奧運會羽球男單冠軍道菲的挑戰。中國羽壇第2號人物陳宏、大馬的黃綜翰等好手也虎視眈眈。
