（吉隆坡15日訊）馬來西亞羽球隊雙打好手古健傑曾與不同的拍檔，贏得許多冠軍。

不過，他從來還沒有跟任何一個拍檔，在一項比賽中成功衛冕。

根據紀錄，古健傑在1996年贏得大馬公開賽冠軍，當年他的拍檔是陳重名，去年他成功衛冕大馬公開賽，不過拍檔換成陳文宏。

上個月，古健傑準備與陳文宏在2008年大馬公開賽尋求衛冕，爭取寫下自己的第一個衛冕冠軍的紀錄，可惜事與願違，他與陳文宏在第2圈就淘汰出局。

現在，古健傑已瞄準下個月的全英公開賽和瑞士公開賽，去年，他與陳文宏都在這兩項賽會取得冠軍，成為第一個接連贏得兩座比賽冠軍的大馬羽球球員。

心態完全不同

無論如何，23歲的古健傑說，贏得第一個冠軍比衛冕來得更加容易，尤其是在負起很大的期望之下，尋求衛冕。

“就拿最近的大馬公開賽來說吧，我們都處在很好的狀態，可是就是衛冕失敗，文宏在我們輸給了丹麥組合（拉斯巴斯基與拉斯姆申）后，多么沮喪。

在合作的第一個年頭，我們贏得許多錦標，不過當闖出成績后，球場上的要求就越來越高，這不但是技術，也必須具備成熟心態，以及如何調度比賽的氣氛和節奏。

古健傑說：“我常常告訴自己，必須隨時都放開心情，儘量保持輕鬆，不過當我以衛冕冠軍的身分面對任何一個對手時，我的心情完全不同，我承認，我和文宏都必須放開這種心態，甚至突破這種思維，我們都在朝這方面努力。”

當然，古健傑也承認，要在3月4日至9日的全英賽成功衛冕，並不是簡單的任務，不過他們勢必全力以赴。

“每個人都要贏，但如果我們成功衛冕，那么意義就非常特殊。”

在記者要求下，古健傑也在眾多高手中，點名印尼的馬基斯與亨德拉是最大的對手。

全英賽前，古健傑與陳文宏也將參加下週的湯姆斯杯入選賽。

衷心希望他们这次的信心不会再成为心理负担，而是可以让他们一路过关斩将成功卫冕冠军。古陈加油。

Badminton: Defeat to Korean pair just a blip

Boon Heong (right) says he and Kien Keat may have let down their guard since the team had already qualified for the Thomas Cup Finals.

TAN Boon Heong is adamant that his and doubles partner Koo Kien Keat's loss to a Korean scratch pair was a rare slip and the pair vowed to get their act together in their All England title defence in Birmingham next week.

Kien Keat-Boon Heong, the World No 3, were expected to cruise past Jung Jae Sung-Lee Jae Jin but instead suffered a stunning defeat on Sunday.

Boon Heong said their performance level perhaps dropped as the team had already qualified for the Thomas Cup Finals in Jakarta on May 11-18 but nonetheless added that they were caught by surprise.

Apart from the setback against the Koreans, Boon Heong said they had a decent outing in Vietnam, especially their easy victory over Taiwan's Tsai Chia Hsin-Hu Chung Hsien, one of the lesser known pairs who had beaten them before.

"I think it (the defeat) was a rare blip where we didn't play well. Maybe our level dropped a little after having qualified for the final rounds. However, we will bounce back in the All England," said Boon Heong.

"Overall though, we had a good tournament and the win against the Taiwan pair was satisfying. I am more confident now especially playing against lower ranked pairs.

"We will face a tougher time in the All England compared to last year' s but we are confident of putting up a better performance.

"However, I would still focus on our first round against the Japanese pair and if we can clear them, things will get going for us."

Kien Keat-Boon Heong open their All England campaign against Japan's Shuichi Sakamoto-Shintaro Ikeda who bundled out the Malaysian pair in the quarter-finals of the World Championships last year, and will not take the match lightly this time.

Kien Keat-Boon Heong will also leave for Birmingham earlier (tomorrow) with national doubles coach Rexy Mainaky and singles player Lee Chong Wei to acclimatise.

The rest of the team leave for Birmingham on Saturday.

（吉隆坡28日讯）尽管绝口不谈大马在本届全英羽毛球赛的目标，但大马国家队总教练叶锦福保证，球员们将以最严谨的态度，看待这历史最悠远的赛会。

下周二在伯明翰挥拍的全英赛是今年超级系列赛的第三站，除了希望世界排名第3的古健杰与陈文宏能顺利卫冕男双冠军，叶锦福希望其他选手也能给予最佳表现。

“虽然我未给球员定下目标，但这不意味着全英赛就不重要，我们都非常慎重看待这个赛会。

“当然，若古陈能卫冕那会很好，但事实上我更希望看到整体的提升，尤其是以奥运为目标的选手。

“前列选手需要保持世界排名，其余的则需要争取更多积分来改善排名。

“汤尤杯入选赛对球员是个很好的磨炼，我有信心他们能继续保持这样的状态。”

去年全英赛，除了古陈之外，女双黄佩蒂与陈仪慧是大马在半决赛后的唯一代表，但这次情况相信会有所改善。

世界排名第二的男单李宗伟近况不俗，尽管可能将提早在复赛对上印尼奥运冠军道菲，但仍被看好可打进决赛、

两度和冠军擦身而过（2004和20006年）的男双老将李万华与钟腾福，也同样将放眼至少杀进半决赛。

宗伟和古陈今日将提早启程前往英格兰，周六角逐一场表演赛后才前往伯明翰；参加周二入选赛的选手周六启程，余人则会在周日离开。

染了一頭金髮的古健傑承諾將會在今年的全英與瑞士公開賽盡全力打好衛冕戰。

（吉隆坡）國家羽球隊男雙主力古健傑啟程飛往歐洲準備在兩站超級系列賽進行衛冕戰前夕，不再像去年為表決心而許願若奪冠就剃光頭，但他承諾會在去年一炮而紅的這兩項賽會全力以赴，以打破逾3個月的冠軍荒。

古健傑與陳文宏今年無法在佔主場優勢的大馬公開賽蟬聯冠軍，世界排名從第一降至第三，上週又在湯杯亞洲區入選賽決賽不敵韓國的雜牌軍鄭在成與李在珍，這使他們在全英與瑞士公開賽的衛冕機會亮起紅燈。

儘管古健傑與陳文宏去年收穫6座冠軍，但他們自11月稱霸丹麥公開賽後，在接下來逾4個月的比賽顆粒無收。由於北京奧運會距今只剩不到半年，他們必須在這之前儘快重回勝利軌道。

狀態比一月大馬賽好

不過，染了一頭金髮的古健傑對此卻另有看法，他說他與陳文宏在越南的狀態，比今年一月的大馬公開賽還要好，同時也打出了去年初豪奪大馬、全英與瑞士公開賽3冠的氣勢與水平。

“輸給韓國的雜牌軍，並未影響我們備戰全英與瑞士公開賽的士氣，畢竟鄭在成與李在珍是臨時配對，他們並不是我們真正要擊敗的目標，我們在全英賽還是有一定的信心。”

古健傑週四（28日）下午隨同國家隊友出席一項健康科學研討會後，發表上述談話。

古陳宗偉先頭出發

古健傑今晚將與陳文宏、國家隊男單一哥李宗偉3人一起出發，搭上前往英國的飛機，但他們的首站目的地不是全英賽賽址伯明翰，他們3人在征戰全英賽之前，將應邀出席一項表演賽。

作為今年超級系列賽第三與第四站的比賽，全英賽將在3月4至9日舉行，瑞士公開賽賽期則是3月11至16日。

去年全英瑞士成神奇小子

古陳去年以黑馬姿態征戰全英與瑞士公開賽，結果兩個年輕人不負所望，除了為國人帶回闊別25年之久的全英男雙冠軍，也在瑞士公開賽贏得二連冠，成了羽壇迅速爆紅的神奇小子。

一手提拔古健傑與陳文宏的國家隊男雙教練雷西，也在這兩項賽會後把這兩名得意門生形容為“鑽石組合”。

雷西雖未為古陳今年的歐洲站訂下目標，但他對古陳重回去年大發神威的全英與瑞士兩站比賽仍抱有信心。

Boon Heong can’t wait to exact revenge on Japanese

KUALA LUMPUR: National men’s doubles specialist Tan Boon Heong can’t stand losing to the same opponents twice.  

Last year, he and partner Koo Kien Keat lost to Taiwan’s Tsai Chia-hsin-Hu Chung-hsien in the second round of the China Open and Japan's Shuichi Sakamoto-Ikeda Shintaro in the third round of the World Championships.  

This year, Boon Heong has avenged the defeat to the Taiwanese pair. He and Kien Keat beat Chia-hsin-Chung-hsien in the Thomas Cup qualifiers in Ho Chi Minh City last week.  

Now, he can’t wait to face the Japanese duo in the All-England, which begins on Wednesday in Birmingham.  
Boon Heong-Kien Keat will get a chance for revenge when they take on the Japanese pair in the first round.   
The 21-year-old Boon Heong said that he has learnt from his past experiences.   

“Yes, people will always remember our defeat to the Japanese pair at the world meet. But to me, the past is long gone and best forgotten. I am not rattled with the opportunity of meeting them again,” said Boon Heong after attending a seminar hosted by the National Sports Institute (NSI) and Phiten yesterday.  

“I will face the Japanese the same way I faced the Taiwanese at the qualifiers. We did not put undue pressure on ourselves by thinking about our earlier defeat to them.  

“I agree that the losses to the Japanese and Taiwanese pairs were the low points in my badminton career. But the defeats have also made me want to work even harder.”  

Boon Heong said that he was focused on defending the title with Kien Keat in the All-England.  

“Kien Keat and I cannot run away from being the centre of attention at the All-England. It is something that we have to accept and deal with. Our opponents are now more aware of the way we play. But we are also prepared and, for now, we want to clear the first hurdle,” said Boon Heong.  

The others in the same half with Boon Heong-Kien Keat in the All-England are top seeds Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng of China, the Indonesia-US combination of Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan, and the top two Danish pairs – Jens Eriksen-Martin Lundgaard Hansen and Lars Paaske-Jonas Rasmussen.

湯杯賽男雙待定奪
烈西：歐洲行決定
（吉隆坡29日訊）國家隊男雙教練烈西，將通過全英賽及瑞士公開賽進行觀察，挑選湯姆斯盃第3支男雙。

湯姆斯盃與尤泊盃決賽將于5月11至19日舉行，馬來西亞將擺出4位男單及3組男雙上陣，烈西也強調，現階段沒有人的位置是雷打不動的。

“第3男雙的競爭還是開放的，我必須對大家公平，所以有機會入選的組合必須在這兩個歐洲賽事，證明自己的價值。”

陳文宏與古健傑、李萬華與鐘騰福已佔據了兩席男雙位置，最后一張入門票，將在法魯茲祖安／查克利、凌文輝／顏德財、王順福／陳斌生之間產生。

法魯茲祖安／查克利世界排名第13，入圍呼聲最高，但兩人在越南湯盃入選賽，意外敗給排怪陣出擊的韓國“雜排軍”朴成奐與黃智萬，影響了入選機會。

上述5支男雙都亮相全英賽，而衛冕冠軍陳文宏與古健傑爭取能走得最遠。

法魯和查克利首圈即與丹麥“危險人物”馬提斯與莫根申，提防翻船，顏／凌組合次圈火併蔡贇與付海峰，也是險中求勝，陳／王拍檔次圈迎戰歸兄李萬華與鐘騰福，經驗處下風。

烈西表示，如果大馬組合能拿下冠軍最好不過，但更重要的是將平時訓練的東西都打出來。

衛冕全英賽男雙冠軍‧陳文宏：難度更高
（吉隆坡）一年前，國家隊男雙專家陳文宏與古健傑為大馬贏得闊別25年的全英賽男雙冠軍時，在羽壇上尚是蓄勢待發、正待上位的新人。

一年後，陳文宏重回讓他一戰成名的伯明翰展開衛冕戰，他在臨行前說：“事隔一年了，我現在不再是新人，思想成熟了，要學習的也還有很多，但可以肯定的一點是，今年我在全英賽面對的困難也比去年更多了。”

21歲的陳文宏回想起去年奪得全英賽冠軍的威風史時，不諱言在場上毫無壓力，是促使他與古健傑可一路從容奪冠的致勝因素。

單純打好比賽最重要

在這名亞羅士打小子看來，今年他與古健傑能否在全英賽“連莊”，心態將是最大關鍵。“去年的全英賽決賽，我和古健傑沒有考慮輸贏帶來的後果，只是單純的要打好比賽。”

陳文宏承認，包括今年的首站超級系列賽大馬公開賽衛冕失利在內，他和古健傑多次在被寄以厚望的情況下大熱倒灶，心態不穩定是最大導因。

球路已被對手摸熟

同時，他也強調，這一年來他與古健傑東征西伐，早已成了各隊研究的目標，在球路上肯定已被對手摸熟，所以未能像去年佔到新人奇招的便宜。

不過，他指出，若論球藝與體能，現在的他肯定比一年前更好，現在最大的問題是要用甚麼方式找回昔日的致勝心態。

在越南找回致勝心態

“2月中在越南舉行的湯杯亞洲區入選賽，我和古健傑都有找回一點去年在歐洲站連拿兩個冠軍（全英與瑞士公開賽）的心態。 ”

“我們不怕一再被人談論我們輸球的次數，在越南我們就擊敗了曾經打敗我們的台灣男雙（蔡佳欣與胡崇賢） ，全英賽我們會遇到同樣曾經贏過我們的日本組合（坂本修一與池田信太郎），但我們做好反擊的準備。”

經歷了湯杯亞洲區入選賽的考驗後，陳文宏自認目前距離最佳狀態僅剩二至三成，這讓他看到了在全英與瑞士公開賽可打出佳績的希望。

陳文宏週五（29日）已隨同拍檔古健傑、國家隊單打一哥李宗偉抵達英國，他們在征戰全英賽前，將參與一項表演賽。

Badminton/All England Championships: Boon Heong will make a difference

National doubles coach Rexy Mainaky, who does not normally set targets - lofty or otherwise - has singled out Boon Heong as the player who can turn things around for Malaysia in the All England which begins in Birmingham tomorrow.

Rexy based his claims on Boon Heong's fiery performance in the Thomas Cup qualifying rounds where he clinically destroyed his opponents.

The coach said Boon Heong and Koo Kien Keat's impressive wins over Taiwan's Tsai Chia Hsin-Hu Chung Hsien and Thailand's experienced Sudket Prapakamol-Patapol Ngernsrisuk, is the kind of single-minded aggression he wants to see in his charges and feels things are starting to fall in place at the right time.

"Boon Heong was in a fearsome mood in Ho Chi Minh City. If he combines such ease and aggression in his matches, I don't see anyone having a chance against our top combination," said Rexy before his departure for Birmingham on Thursday.

"I just hope that he will continue performing in Birmingham and Kien Keat and him will achieve the desired results.

"He (Boon Heong) is in good form and as a pair, both players are performing in the manner a world-class pair should be performing.

"I think they have found their rhythm again and all they need to do now is to maintain that quality and focus on a consistent basis."

Boon Heong himself said the Thomas Cup qualifiers had actually helped him discard his vulnerability against lower ranked pairs and it showed in their one-sided victories.

Kien Keat-Boon Heong, the All England doubles defending champions who struggled in their previous two meetings against Chia Hsin-Chung Hsien losing one of them, outplayed the Taiwan pair 21-12, 21-13 in just 22 minutes while Thai pair Sudket-Patapol suffered a 21-15, 21-16 defeat in 27 minutes.

The Malaysian pair has some unfinished business to settle when they open their campaign against Japan's Shuichi Sakamoto-Shintaro Ikeda tomorrow.

Sakamoto-Ikeda dumped Kien Keat-Boon Heong out of last year's World Championships in Kuala Lumpur.

Kien Keat played a key role in their All England victory last year but if Rexy's prediction is anything to go by, Boon Heong is expected to step out of his partner's shadow and become a leader in his own right.
