Great Unclean One
We first teased you with this guy in our Developer Diary video, ending it on his jiggling belly of innards and jolly laugh. Our holiday greeting message revealed the Great Unclean One in his full glory, and now we look at how this monstrous daemon translates into the game.
As a mass of flesh, the Great Unclean One can absorb a metric ton of damage and laugh it off. This great durability comes at a cost though, he’s expensive to field and not very quick to get around the battlefield.
The Great Unclean One’s massive sword is just one of his many vile weapons that he can bring to bear. Whether it is a swarm of flies or putrid vomit, any enemy will have their hands full when this unit hits the field.
Availability: Tier 3
Abilities:
Vomit – Spew forth the foul contents of the Great Unclean One’s stomach, damaging and debilitating all enemies caught in the foul stream.
Foul Snare – His innards are not there for just looks, they actually serve a valuable purpose. You can use this ability to project the writhing intestines of the Great Unclean One, snaring any enemies near the target and pull them to their doom.
Consume – Low on Energy? Not a problem. Consume the life force of an allied unit to regain Energy. This is yet another reason to keep some expendable Heretics around.
Swarm of Flies – The Great Unclean One stomps the ground, projecting a caustic cloud of flies that damages all nearby enemy units.
The Plague Champion is a follower of the Dark God, Nurgle. His armor is a vessel for all manner of contagion and pestilence. Fearless and seemingly immune to pain of any kind, the powerful Plague Champion is one of three heroes that you can choose when playing as Chaos in Chaos Rising.
Many of the Plague Champion’s abilities revolve around supporting his allies in their battles or weakening enemy units. By choosing the Plague Champion, you gain the blessings of Nurgle, the Chaos god associated with disease, decay, despair, destruction, and rotting death. At shrines built to Nurgle, allied units enjoy healing benefits, including the ability to reinforce squads if you command Heretics to worship at your shrine.
Gear & Abilities
The Plague Champion’s innate ability allows him to construct a Heavy Bolter Turret, capable of suppressing enemy infantry and locking down a portion of the map with its withering fire. The turret can be upgraded to a Lascannon Turret once you have reached Tier 2, making it very effective against vehicles.
Tier 1
Bile Spewer – This weapon spews sticky, caustic bile, weakening and slowing enemies. It also grants the Bilious Discharge ability which coats the target area with adhesive bile, slowing any units that pass through the it.

Blight Grenades – An accessory that grants the use of Gas grenades that slow and damage all units in the targeted area.
Plague Sword – Enemies slain with this foul blade will linger on the battlefield as undead allies attacking nearby enemy units, until they expire.

Tier 2
Armor of Pestilence – Grants increased Health and immunity to most forms of knockback at the cost of movement speed. Also causes the Plague Champion to emit a foul cloud of toxic gas when incapacitated in combat.
Plague Fist – Plague-infected Power Fist that is effective against all targets. Grants the Pestilent Strike ability that causes the Plague Champion to strike the ground, stunning nearby enemies and releasing a cloud of flies that reduces incoming ranged damage.
