Govt appoints Smartag for RFID Customs project


KUALA LUMPUR: The government has appointed Smartag Solutions Bhd as part of the security and trade facilitation system using radio frequency identification (RFID) for the Customs checkpoints throughout Malaysia.
It said on Tuesday, April 19 it was named to be part of the project by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak as the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) progress update conference.
“At this juncture, no memorandum of understanding or agreement has been signed in respect to the project. Further announcements on the progress of the project will be released in due course once the company receives further details on the project,” it said.

与汶莱John Harith科技合作 智能电子标签验证清真产品

（吉隆坡20日讯）智能电子标签（Smartag，0169，创业板）与汶莱John Harith科技私人有限公司合作，为后者的清真验证工程提供Smartrack技术。

智能电子标签向马交所报备，昨天与John Harith科技签署合作意向书，提供Smartrack后端资料库系统技术，让汶莱消费者可以验证清真产品。

John Harith科技是汶莱的资讯与通讯科技解决方案供应商，致力于发展汶莱的无线电频率识别与验证系统，并在近期获当地宗教事务部颁发合约，负责发展清真验证与供应链管理系统。

在此工程下，John Harith将使用Smartrack技术，做为验证软件程式的系统。

这项合作意向书为期1年，并可再续约1年，双方将在6个月后展开中期评估。[NanYang]

智能电子标签获多媒体合约

（吉隆坡5日讯）智能电子标签（Smartag，0169，创业板）宣布，已获得多媒体发展合作私人有限公司颁发的合约，共同执行“流动数码荷包系统”。

该计划的全名为“打造一个具信赖的流动数码荷包系统”，多媒体发展合作是由政府委任，主要用以推动“数码马来西亚”（Digital Malaysia）计划。

数码马来西亚由数码转型计划推动，主要透过一个数码系统，在一个数码、即时及全球环境，连接政府、商家及人民。

一旦数码马来西亚计划成功，资讯通讯领域预料在2020年为全国人均收入贡献17%，大马也会成为经济学人智库下，数码经济项目内的首20大国家。

同时，大马也有望在洛桑国际管理发展学院（IMD）下的世界竞争力排名中，名列首10位。[Nanyang]

6月起 RFID通關 每貨櫃每次收RM4

（吉隆坡3日訊）智電標籤（SMARTAG，0169，創業板科技股）宣佈，已與大馬皇家關稅局（JKDM）達致協議, 6月正式啟用無線頻率識別（RFID）提升貨櫃通關效率，將透過2種方式徵收費用。

該公司向馬證交所報備指出，皇家關稅局使用該項安全貿易系統將會有2種服務收費，以無線頻率識別認證通關，每個貨櫃每次4令吉；同個貨櫃額外認證則是2令吉。

至于基建及服務收費，每次移動使用設備及全面性服務收費6令吉，部分服務收費則是4令吉。

該公司指出，執行此項目的風險包括政局、經濟及條例變動，這些將影響交易貨物的數量並減少貨櫃通關。

不過智電標籤在無線頻率識別知名豐富且擁有多年經驗，相信有能力應付臨時狀況。

該項目為政府在經濟轉型執行方案下的啟動計劃，加快關口檢查過程，提升貨櫃通關系統的效率，並有助自動檢驗防止走私活動。[ChinaPress]

該公司文告指出，關稅局設立運輸系統時，封印搬運貨物的貨櫃早已就緒；只有在運輸過程使用懸掛式机械（duty suspension）的貨櫃需封印，故這類型運輸業者需承擔部分附帶成本。

另外，智電標籤使用的無線頻率識別封印是根據ISO 18186無線頻率識別貨運貨櫃運輸標準設定，冀關稅局自動化關卡檢查取代現有手動檢查封印，更重要的提高貨運 安全及國家稅務收入。[ChinaPress]

（吉隆坡2日訊）因對公司重組計劃有不同意見，智電標籤（SMARTAG，0169，創業板科技股）現年34歲的總執行長林炳強已辭去職務，從1月1日起生效。

該公司今日向馬證交所報備指出，因林炳強個人對集團營業額成長有不同意見，已辭去他的總執行長職務，但仍保留董事會成員身分，直到公司找到接任的人才會離開董事會。

智電標籤指出，林炳強選擇離開，並且讓董事會對公司進行重組，培養公司未來獲利能力，該公司執行主席和董事會將找尋適合的人選接任他的職務。

饶乐生接替先前辞职的林炳强，后者因与董事部对集团增长营业额防线出现意见分歧、而决定放弃总执行长。
