Hodgson to be unveiled as new Liverpool manager

Roy Hodgson LiverpoolThe BBC and The Times newspaper are reporting that Roy Hodgson will be unveiled as Liverpool's new manager by Thursday.
According to the BBC, 'The Reds were granted permission to speak to the 62-year-old two weeks ago by his current club Fulham' which backs up everything we've been claiming in relation to this matter.
Ian Dennis, Radio 5 live's senior football reporter, said: "Hodgson has always been the number one target of the board at Anfield to replace Benitez.
"After Fulham granted Liverpool permission to speak to Hodgson, it was just a matter of the clubs agreeing a compensation deal for him."
The Times also carries a similar report. They also add that 'only Sammy Lee remains from Rafael Benítez's coaching staff'. We reported that there had been a cull before the new manager had been appointed and that non-executive figures had met Hodgson down in London last week. Sammy was one of them as he is obviously hoping to be retained by Hodgson.
KOPTALK exclusively revealed last Thursday that Hodgson had accepted the job but since then there's been a deafening silence which had started to worry us.
We put our hands up and admitted that we weren't sure what was holding up the appointment following our bold claims but we still maintained that Hodgson looked nailed on to be confirmed as boss because of what our sources had fed us.
But until Hodgson is pictured at Melwood waving goodbye to Steven Gerrard, the editor will continue to have a squeaky bum.
If, or when, Hodgson is confirmed, we would urge every Liverpool supporter to get behind the man and not start sulking and crying because this will be picked up by the press and it will filter back to the man himself.
We need everyone on board.
