Club profile: Our club has been organising G Tahan expeditions since 2012. Both the president (Mr. Wee ) and vice president ( Mr. Kelvin) of the club are avid hikers. Mr. Wee has hiked G Tahan for 13 times. Mr. Wee , our team leader usually handles the logistic, pre hike training and all activities related to the hike itself. Mr. Kelvin on the other hand takes care of the meals during the hike.

主办人兼领队wee，亦是纬度探险会长，从2005至今曾十三次带队的经验。副会长KelvinChan也曾九次当大汉山的主厨。



package1: rm1500 without group ration. participant bear approx 10-12kg backpack.
package2: rm 2000. 5kg personal stuff carry by porter. participant bear approx 6-7kg backpack
will arrange if special request for extra personnal stuff carry by porter. fees : rm 100 per kg.
# rm 300 deduction for other state participant own transport arrangement to taman negera.limited to 4 ppl.

cost include 3meal & bfast drinks per trekking day(except day1bfast & lunch, day6 dinner), round trip charted bus fr penang to taman negera sungai relau & kuala tahan, 4wd transfer, tent, fly & ground, guide, porter, all taman negera charges, T shirt, first aid kits, satellite phone in case of emergency, injured ppl carrier etc.
all participants sleep in 2men double layer tent with 2side door.

limited to 24 ppl. first come first served.

Itinerary

Day1 friday nite 11/3
9pm charted bus fr Penang to Merapoh(approx 10hrs)

Day2 saturday morning 12/3
7am reach Merapoh. take bfast & pack lunch. head to Taman Negara Sungai Relau.
9am. after environment checking by forest park officer, 4wd to start point Kuala Juram. start trekking to Kem Kor, 750m(5-6hrs)

Day3 sunday 13/3
9am. hike to Kem Botak,1933m(9-10hrs)

Day4 monday 14/3
9am hike to Tahan peak(1.30hrs) then to Kem Gedung, 2000+m(4hrs)

Day5 tuesday 15/3
9am descend to Kem Teku,160m(8-9hrs)

Day6 wednesday 16/3
9am hike to Kem Tengah,200m(8-9hrs)

Day7 thursday 17/3
9am hike to Kuala Tahan(8-9hrs) end of expedition.

Day8 friday 18/3
relax at chalet(own cost approx rm 50 per person)

Day9 saturday 19/3
10am charted bus back to Penang.

* trekking duration including rest & lunch break. all campsite with river/small stream nearby except Kem Gedung & Kem Tengah which water point further.

跨越大汉山真的很难，是属于挑战性的行程，尤其是回程还要进过两个营地是没有水源的，还有其中一天要过七条河，然后再爬上 Gunung Rajah ，适合那些要挑战自己的人。
如果是 4天3夜的 Merapoh上，Merapoh回就比较可以尝试。

大汉山的河，又宽水又急，本身已经很够挑战。需知七条大河，其实是同一条河绕着山脉转，过七条河意味攀越七个山脉，最累的是沿河岸的路，又上又下，时而攀石，时而涉水。

跨越大汉山不是想象那么难。最大的关键是背包的重量。

团队的鼓励和自身的毅力也是很重要。 以前我在没有训练之下也是爬了大汗， 只是平时有游泳。当时负重18kg, 人才50kg, 回想一下不知道当时是怎样过， 只是跟着大队一直走而已。
