Application Area: Door Panel / Engine Bonnet / Boot / Roof / Floor Pan / Fire Wall
Sheets required:
Door Panel : 1sheet per door (4sheets for 4doors)
Engine Boot : 1sheet
Rear Bonnet : Approx 2-3 sheet to cover up the whole area included the spare tyre part.
Entire Floor Pan : Approx 4-6 sheets depends on types of vehicle and area wanted to apply.
Roof : 2-3 Sheets
Functions: Basically sound deadening is to overcome the panel vibration in your car. When you are cruising along the highway and passby a heavy truck beside you, this may causes noice vibration if your panel is too light. The noises occured as a results of vibration of your door panel. The whole idea of sound deadening is to make every panel that has the ability of vibrating (boot lid, doors etc) as heavy as possible. When people say to fill it with insulation, it DOES NOT sound deaded anything, what is does is stop music reflect, so as soon as the sound waves hits a wall it is dissapated, however it still vibrates the panels. So, we still need this to overcome the vibration problems which causes alot of irritating sounds. In simple, it is to prevent it from vibrating which could produce hi frequency noise such as stones hitting the chassis, rain drops and etc...With this butyl made sound deadening sheets (3kg per sheet), it would definitely makes your door panel feel more compact than before and reduces the sound vibration.
